RaxBoard 1.9.8 in detail (1 of 2): security, new features, before you upgrade

Who should upgrade now

• Every board: the post editor could run script hidden in a post's BB code when that post was opened in the editor.
• Route filters with aliases (Admin → Route Filters): an alias could get around pages that require signing in and the login attempt limit.
• Hidden-content tags ([hide] and similar): hidden text could leak in some posts. The update also cleans the search index.
• Two-factor sign-in: an authenticator code or a backup code could be used more than once.
• License-protected (sealed) installations: the integrity check is stricter, so a damaged or incomplete installation is reported clearly instead of being accepted silently.

Security

• Access rules were not always applied correctly to route filter aliases. Aliases are now resolved before the access gates and form rate limits, so every gate judges the page actually served.
• The page behind an alias is cached like the page itself, so an alias of the sign-in or password pages is no longer offered to shared caches. Aliases can no longer point at the admin panel, the API or the installer.

• Script in the editor: values inside BB code reached the editor without enough checking, so a crafted post could run script in the browser of whoever opened it in the editor. Now:
  
  • every value is checked before the editor shows it; a value that fails stays as plain BB code text and is saved back unchanged;
  • links are made only from http, https, mailto, ftp, tel and relative addresses, and images only from http, https and relative addresses;
  • everything the editor displays goes through one allow-list cleaner, the fallback editor included; content dragged or pasted in from outside goes through the same cleaner, and dropped files are uploaded (images into the text, other files as attachments);
  • when a post, conversation message, profile post, club post or chat message, signature, About text or club welcome message is saved, an invalid colour, size or font value is removed, and so is a link, image or media tag whose address uses a script scheme. The text itself stays.
• Signature permissions are now applied in full in every case: images, links and media a member's group may not use no longer appear in their signature, and a web address in a signature whose author may not post links is no longer made a link.
• In the signatures of members whose group does not have Extended Text in Signature, the text of a hidden-content block could be shown to every reader; hidden-content blocks are now removed from such signatures together with their content. The Allow in Signatures setting of BB codes now takes effect as well (see Before you upgrade in the next reply).
• Media from sites the board does not recognise is shown only as a plain web link.

• In some posts, text inside a hidden-content block could be shown to members who should not see it: on the page and in search results, search-engine data, quotes, the REST API, profiles and excerpts. Hidden blocks now stay closed.
• Search entries that already held such text are rebuilt by the update (see After upgrading → Search in the next reply).

• Two-factor codes are single-use: an authenticator code is accepted only once. A code that was already used, including the one that confirmed the setup, is refused, and when two sign-ins use the same code at the same moment, only one gets in.
• Backup codes are stored hashed, and each works once, also when tried twice at the same moment. Backup codes issued by an earlier version keep working, once each; they are stored hashed from the first use of one of them, or when a new set is issued.
• Password reset limit: requests are counted per e-mail address (3 an hour), for addresses with and without an account. Above the limit the page shows the usual confirmation, so it no longer reveals whether an account exists.
• Password reset e-mail: on PHP-FPM and LiteSpeed servers the page no longer waits for the reset e-mail to be sent.

• API requests made with a member's sign-in: on every board, changes that a signed-in member's browser made through the board's own API addresses (for example notifications and conversations) did not need the security token that every form carries. They now need it, as forms do.
• Boards that share their domain with other sites (for example forum.example.com next to shop.example.com): forms sent to the board from another site under the same domain are now refused ("Security check failed"). On boards that use Shared Guest Page Cache (CDN / LiteSpeed), the security token that cached guest pages use is no longer accepted for signed-in members or for requests from other sites. The board's own pages are not affected.

• Deleting a member also removes what they left in tables without a database link to the account: remember-me tokens, API keys, passkeys, two-factor data, OAuth links, push subscriptions, permission and moderator assignments, watches, bookmarks, drafts, trophies, profile visits and session trails. Club member and conversation participant counts stay right. The update sweeps rows left by members deleted earlier (on large boards in the background).
• Moderator notes on warnings are now visible to staff only; they were shown to the warned member despite the label. Use the new Message to the member field for what the member should see.
• Member list: sorting by last activity no longer reveals when members who hide their online status were last active (they are sorted as if they had never been active), and sorting by e-mail address is now for administrators only.
• Staff page (The Staff Team): it listed the name of every forum a moderator looks after, including forums the visitor may not see. It now lists only the forums the visitor can open, with correct links.
• About text on profiles: text inside hidden-content blocks of a member's About text is no longer sent to other visitors. The About text in the profile's search-engine data and on the profile cover is now plain text, so BB code tags no longer show there.
• Conversations: a conversation's read status is now updated only from the board's own pages and from API clients.

• Updates no longer delete files you added. The 1.9.7 in-app updater removed every file the new release did not contain from src/, templates/, public/assets/ and migrations/, files an administrator had added there included. From 1.9.8 on, the updater takes the release's file list from the release package and removes only release files you have not changed; files you added or edited stay, and kept changed files are written to the log. The update to 1.9.8 is still run by the 1.9.7 updater: see Before you upgrade in the next reply.
• Sealed (license-protected) installations: the integrity check is stricter. A damaged or incomplete installation is no longer accepted silently: it shows a clear error or a notice on the admin pages saying what needs fixing, and sign-in and the admin panel stay reachable.
• Re-sealing waits while an update is running. If an update stops before the installation is sealed again, administrators see a notice on the admin pages; the board tries again when an administrator opens the admin panel (at most once an hour); you can also use Revalidate under Admin → License.
• Requests that arrive while the board restores its license key from the license server now wait for it instead of failing.
• Requests handled twice: a request to the admin panel, the API, the sign-in page or the installer that failed inside the board was run a second time by the license check. It now runs once, and the original error goes to the board's error handling.

New

• The route filter form speaks plainly: New address (what visitors see) and Current address (the page the board already serves), with a live preview of what the filter will do, an example and a Swap fields button.
• A filter that would produce "page not found" errors is refused with the reason. Most often the two addresses were entered the wrong way round; then Swap fields is highlighted.
• Both fields accept an address with or without the leading slash, and a full link to this board is reduced to its path.
• The list marks existing filters that cannot work, and opening one shows why.
• Links rewritten by an alias change only when they point at this board, not at another site's page with the same path.
• Alias and URL-only filters can no longer point at the admin panel, the API or the installer (such a filter made its address redirect to itself); use a redirect filter there. Customised texts of the old form are kept.

• Staff with the new Edit Issued Warnings permission can edit issued warnings: points, expiry, title and the message to the member. Each change is recorded in the moderator log, and points added or removed update the member's total and any automatic actions. After the update, everyone who could issue warnings can also edit them.
• Admin → Warnings → Warning definitions (also in the admin sidebar): ready-made warnings with title, points, expiry and the message the member receives, optionally sent as a conversation. Moderators pick one when they warn and can adjust points and expiry where the definition allows.
• Kuroxis, Stable, Kotton and Aslitium bring their own profile page: their updates released today with 1.9.8 (Kuroxis 1.0.37, Stable 1.1.17, Kotton 1.0.28, Aslitium 1.0.12) add the edit button to its Warnings tab. With an older version of these themes, open the warn window on the member's profile; it lists their active warnings with an edit button.

• A Special characters button (Ω) next to the smilies: Greek letters, mathematics, electrical units, superscript and subscript, arrows, currency and typography. Searchable in English and Turkish, recently used characters first, fully usable from the keyboard.
• Boards with the factory toolbar get the button on screens 992 px and wider. On narrower screens, and on boards with a customised toolbar (left as it is), it is in the editor's More (…) menu and can be placed under Admin → BB Codes → Button Manager.

• A code block longer than 18 lines scrolls inside its own box (24rem high, 18rem on phones), with an Expand / Collapse button next to Copy. Collapsing scrolls the block back into view.
• The heights can be changed in custom CSS with --rb-code-max-height and --rb-code-max-height-phone.

• Thread prefix designs show on phones by default. The previous simplified look is still available under Options → Content → Thread prefixes on phones and now keeps the prefix colour as a flat badge. Boards whose administrator had chosen the simplified look keep it.

• Forum and category logos follow one rule in every theme, without a theme update: each sits in a box of the same height (32 px by default) with its proportions kept. Wide logos extend into the icon area; square and tall ones are centred, so no theme crops, stretches or overlaps a logo any more.
• The coloured tile behind logos is gone (Font Awesome icons keep it); to keep a backdrop, add :root { --rb-node-ico-img-bg: #f4f4f5; } to the board custom CSS. In dark mode logos sit on a light plate, so dark transparent logos stay readable; a white logo on a transparent background needs a version with a dark background.

• Members of a club can now send voice messages in its posts, comments and chat. Only the club's members can record there, and the usual rules apply: voice messages switched on, the Upload Attachments and Record Voice Messages permissions of the member's groups (clubs have no forum permissions, so the group values count), and the size and length limits of the voice options. Who may listen follows Listen to Voice Messages.
• The new option Allow in Clubs under Options → Voice Messages switches this on and off. It is on by default; switch it off to keep voice messages out of clubs.

• New look for the admin panel, in light and dark mode: clearer page and card headings, a clearer top bar (a search box with Ctrl/⌘+K, the light/dark switch and View Forum), framed action buttons in lists, and modern form controls: framed file buttons, upload boxes that take a dropped file ("Choose a file or drag it here" for style logos and favicons), select boxes with an arrow, and restyled checkboxes, colour, date and number fields.
• Text, badges and the current page number are readable in both modes (in light mode some were pale orange or white on white), borders are clearly visible, and disabled buttons look unavailable instead of faded. The admin sign-in page uses the same style. Pages and menu entries stay where they were, and add-on pages that use the standard admin styles take on the new look by themselves.
• Admin sidebar: the groups start collapsed and the current page's group is open; Expand all / Collapse all opens or closes every group. The sidebar remembers which groups you opened and keeps its scroll position from page to page.
• Interrupted updates: if the host stops an update half way, the board no longer stays in maintenance mode. Once the updater is gone, the window it opened closes right away (never in its first minute), or after 15 minutes when this cannot be checked. Maintenance mode switched on by hand is never touched.
• When an update left database migrations unrun, super administrators see The last update did not finish with a Complete update button on every admin page. It runs the remaining migrations, templates, master data, caches and re-sealing; if release code files are missing, it names them so you can upload them again first.
• Background maintenance strip: heavy database work of an update can finish in the background after it, with progress and a Run now button on the admin pages (see After upgrading in the next reply).
• Server cron banner: when no server cron job has run in the last hour, the admin dashboard tells administrators who can manage cron tasks, says whether scheduled tasks ride visitors' page views or do not run at all, and links to the Cron tasks page.
• Board URL warning: when the stored Board URL (Options → General) is empty or not a full address, super administrators see a warning on every admin page, because password-reset and activation links, the sitemap and canonical tags cannot be built correctly without it.
• Voice messages — who may record and who may listen: two new group permissions, Listen to Voice Messages and Record Voice Messages, set per user group and per forum (the forum permission matrix lists both), on top of the existing voice options. The update keeps today's behaviour: every group, guests included, may listen; groups that could post or upload may record. Leave recording off for new members and open it through group promotion.
• Phone default style: Options → General → Phone default style gives phone visitors a different default style from desktops (for example a lighter style on phones). A member's own style, a guest's style choice and a forum's own style still come first. Off by default; when on, visitors switch with Mobile view / Desktop view under the footer.
• Settings in one place: settings that existed twice have one home, and the update carries your value over: the favicon and the touch icon are set per style (Styles → style properties), e-mail verification on registration has one switch, the analytics consent options no longer contradict each other (when consent is required, it is also honoured), and the footer's "most users online" record takes over the higher record the online widget had kept. The Content Max Polls Per Thread field (Options → Polls), which changed nothing, is removed.
• E-mail sender name: when Email From Name under Options → Email is left empty, e-mails are sent with the board title. A board that still had the shipped "RaxBoard Forum" now uses its board title; a name you typed stays.
• E-mail for group mentions: Options → Email → E-mail for group mentions decides whether a group mention (of all members, the staff or the administrators) also sends the mention e-mail. The default, "Send immediately (each member's e-mail preference applies)", keeps today's behaviour. With "Do not e-mail group mentions (in-app alert only)", members still get the alert on the board and push notifications, but no e-mail. A mention of one member by name e-mails as before. One mention of all members can mean up to 500 e-mails, which can use up a mail provider's daily quota.
• Add-on rows beside posts: Options → Content → Add-on Rows Beside Posts sets the most rows add-ons may add to the author stats beside each post, all add-ons together, filled in add-on load order: 4 by default, as before; 0 hides add-on rows; at most 12. Core rows such as Messages, Threads and Joined are not counted.

• Formulas now render with self-hosted KaTeX (no CDN). [math] works; $$ detection stays on for upgraded boards and can be switched on under Options → Editor for new ones. A \gdef now applies to its own formula only, and a very long or deeply nested formula is shown as its source instead of slowing the page down.

• New criteria: trophies and user group promotions can now also use threads started, accepted answers (the same count shown next to a member's posts), reputation and activity: time spent on the forum, days active and the longest daily visit streak. Trophies can also use days active in the last 30. Activity is counted from the update on and only while a page of the board is in view (an open page nobody is using counts too; API requests do not). Turn it off under Options → Trophies → Record Member Activity. A member's activity record is part of their personal data export and is removed when the account is deleted or anonymised.
• Criteria page: Admin → Trophies → Criteria lists every criterion with the number of rules that use it. The newer criteria can be turned off one by one (not while a rule uses one); the four classic ones (messages, reaction score, trophy points and days registered) are always on. A rule whose criterion is not available (turned off, or added by an add-on that is now disabled or removed) is held until the criterion is back: such a promotion promotes and demotes nobody, and such a trophy is not awarded.
• In the trophy and promotion forms, conditions the form cannot edit (from an add-on, an import or a criterion that is off) are shown as "Kept as is" and saved unchanged. A trophy rule can no longer use the same criterion twice (for per-forum criteria: the same forum twice) and needs at least one condition with ≥, > or = and an amount above zero. Existing trophies that break this keep working as before, but must be corrected before they can be saved again.
• Per-forum trophies: a trophy can require threads started, messages or accepted answers in one forum, its sub-forums included: in the trophy form, choose "Threads Started in a Forum", "Messages in a Forum" or "Accepted Answers in a Forum" under Award Criteria and pick the forum. The trophy list names the forum only to visitors who can view it; a trophy whose forum is deleted is put on hold. For members with more than 20,000 messages, "Messages in a Forum" is counted only when the trophy task runs from a server cron job.
• Trophy progress on the profile: members see a compact card at the top of their own profile with the trophy they are closest to and a progress bar; opened, it lists the three closest trophies condition by condition. The card also shows the member's next automatic title (when their title comes from the user title ladder) and, for promotions marked Show progress to members, how close they are to the next rank. That switch is in the promotion form, off by default (also for every existing promotion), and applies only to target groups with a banner or a user title. Nobody else sees the card. It shows in every theme; turn it off under Options → Trophies → Trophy progress on the member's own profile.
• Member of the Week and Member of the Month: the board can pick its most active members automatically, by messages, threads started, reactions from other members or accepted answers, on the whole board or only in chosen forums. When a week (Monday to Sunday, in the board's time zone) or a calendar month ends, the leading member, or up to three, carries the "Member of the Week" or "Member of the Month" banner on their posts and profile for the next period and gets an alert (following their trophy alert setting).
• Both are off after the update: turn them on under Options → Trophies → Member of the week / Member of the month, where you also set the metric, the forums, the number of winners, the minimum and whether staff are left out (they are by default). When you turn one on, the winner of the last finished week or month gets the banner within 15 minutes; earlier periods are not filled in. The banners belong to two new user groups; change their text, colour or icon in the user group editor. A group with permissions, a staff group, Guest or the registration group cannot be chosen as a banner group.
• User title ladder: besides messages, trophy points and reaction score, the ladder can now climb by reputation, threads started or accepted answers (Admin → Trophies → User title ladder → Ladder climbs by). Its steps are now cached, which saves a few database queries per page. The Criteria page does not count the ladder as a rule, so it lets you turn off the criterion the ladder climbs by; keep that criterion on, or some ladder titles are left out.

• The registration form no longer accepts a name the board uses for its own addresses (for example admin, forums, members or search, the address of an installed add-on or of a route filter, or a file in the board's web folder), nor a name that could pass for the board's own staff, such as support, moderator or official. Members can no longer rename themselves to such a name either. Capital letters and Turkish letters make no difference (ADMIN and Admın count as admin).
• Members who already have such a name keep it. Administrators can still give any name under Admin → Users; after saving, the user editor shows a note.

Before you upgrade

1. Back up the database and files.
2. Files of your own in the core folders: the update to 1.9.8 is run by the 1.9.7 in-app updater, which can delete files you added under src/, templates/, public/assets/ or migrations/ (for example images in public/assets/). Copy such files to a safe place before you start and put them back after the update. Updates from 1.9.8 on keep them.
3. Large boards: some maintenance finishes in the background after the update, in short steps, while the board works normally: the reactions table index, the search re-index of the affected posts, the sweep of rows left by deleted members and, with a very long name-change history, an index on it. A strip in the admin panel shows progress; with a server cron job (Admin → Cron) everything finishes on its own, otherwise index builds wait for Run now there or php bin/raxboard schema:jobs --run from a shell.
4. Database server (operators): the two-factor table (one row per member using two-factor sign-in) gets a new column: instant on MariaDB 10.3+ and MySQL 8.0.12+, an online rebuild on MySQL 5.7 (reads and writes continue), usually seconds (minutes on a very large board). MariaDB 11.6.2 and newer turn snapshot isolation on by default; nothing needs changing for RaxBoard, which handles a transaction the server cancels because a row changed meanwhile (error 1020 in the log) like a deadlock: the whole transaction is undone and the error passed on.
5. BB codes kept out of signatures: a BB code's Allow in Signatures setting (Admin → BB Codes) had no effect until now, and new custom codes got it off. To keep signatures as they are, the update switches it on for every custom BB code, add-on codes included, even where you had switched it off on purpose: note the codes that should stay out before you upgrade, and switch it off for them afterwards. Built-in codes keep their setting, which now takes effect for them too.
6. Update order: see the first post above (core, then the themes, then the language packs again; the add-ons at any time, but Migrate imports XenForo warning definitions only on core 1.9.8).

Güvenlik

• Erişim kuralları rota filtresi takma adlarında her zaman doğru uygulanmıyordu. Takma adlar artık erişim kapılarından ve form sınırlamasından önce çözülüyor; her kapı gerçekte sunulan sayfaya göre karar veriyor.
• Takma adın arkasındaki sayfa, sayfanın kendisi gibi önbelleğe alınıyor; böylece giriş ya da parola sayfalarının takma adı artık paylaşılan önbelleklere sunulmuyor. Takma adlar artık yönetim paneline, API'ye ya da kuruluma da işaret edemiyor.

• Editörde betik: BB kodundaki değerler editöre yeterince denetlenmeden ulaşıyordu; bu yüzden özel hazırlanmış bir mesaj, onu editörde açan kişinin tarayıcısında betik çalıştırabiliyordu. Artık:

Metnin kendisi kalıyor.
• İmza izinleri artık her durumda eksiksiz uygulanıyor; izin verilmeyen görsel, bağlantı ve medya imzada görünmüyor, bağlantı izni olmayan imzadaki web adresi de artık bağlantıya dönüşmüyor.
• Grubunda İmzada Gelişmiş Metin izni olmayan üyelerin imzalarında gizli içerik bloğunun metni her okuyucuya gösterilebiliyordu; bu imzalardaki gizli içerik blokları artık içerikleriyle birlikte kaldırılıyor. BB kodlarının İmzalarda İzin Ver ayarı da artık uygulanıyor (bir sonraki yanıttaki Güncellemeden önce bölümüne bakın).
• Panonun tanımadığı sitelerden medya yalnız düz bir web bağlantısı olarak gösteriliyor.

• Bazı mesajlarda gizli içerik bloğundaki metin, görmemesi gereken üyelere gösterilebiliyordu: sayfada ve arama sonuçlarında, arama motoru verisinde, alıntılarda, REST API'de, profillerde ve özetlerde. Gizli bloklar artık kapalı kalıyor.
• Bu tür metni zaten içeren arama kayıtları güncellemeyle yeniden oluşturuluyor (bir sonraki yanıttaki Güncellemeden sonra → Arama bölümüne bakın).

• İki adımlı doğrulama kodları tek kullanımlık: doğrulama uygulamasından gelen bir kod yalnız bir kez kabul ediliyor. Daha önce kullanılmış bir kod, kurulumu onaylayan kod da dahil, reddediliyor; aynı kodla aynı anda yapılan iki girişten yalnız biri geçiyor.
• Yedek kodlar karma (hash) olarak saklanıyor ve her biri, aynı anda iki kez denense bile, yalnız bir kez çalışıyor. Önceki bir sürümün verdiği yedek kodlar çalışmaya devam ediyor, her biri bir kez; içlerinden biri ilk kez kullanıldığında ya da yeni bir set verildiğinde karma olarak saklanmaya başlıyor.
• Parola sıfırlama sınırı: istekler artık e-posta adresi başına sayılıyor (saatte 3); hesabı olan ve olmayan adresler için aynı şekilde. Sınır aşılınca sayfa her zamanki onay mesajını gösteriyor; böylece bir hesabın var olup olmadığını artık belli etmiyor.
• Parola sıfırlama e-postası: PHP-FPM ve LiteSpeed sunucularda sayfa artık sıfırlama e-postasının gönderilmesini beklemiyor.

• Üye oturumuyla yapılan API istekleri: her panoda, giriş yapmış bir üyenin tarayıcısının panonun kendi API adresleri üzerinden yaptığı değişiklikler (örneğin bildirimler ve konuşmalar) her formun taşıdığı güvenlik belirtecini istemiyordu. Artık formlarda olduğu gibi istiyor.
• Alan adını başka sitelerle paylaşan panolar (örneğin shop.example.com yanında forum.example.com): aynı alan adındaki başka bir siteden panoya gönderilen formlar artık reddediliyor ("Güvenlik kontrolü başarısız"). Paylaşımlı Misafir Sayfa Önbelleği (CDN / LiteSpeed) seçeneğini kullanan panolarda, önbellekteki misafir sayfalarının kullandığı güvenlik belirteci artık giriş yapmış üyeler ve başka sitelerden gelen istekler için kabul edilmiyor. Panonun kendi sayfaları bundan etkilenmiyor.

• Uyarılardaki moderatör notları artık yalnız yetkililere görünüyor; önceden etikete rağmen uyarılan üyeye gösteriliyordu. Üyenin görmesi gereken açıklama için yeni Üyeye mesaj alanını kullanın.
• Üye listesi: son etkinliğe göre sıralama, çevrimiçi durumunu gizleyen üyelerin en son ne zaman etkin olduğunu artık ele vermiyor (bu üyeler hiç etkin olmamış gibi sıralanıyor); e-posta adresine göre sıralama artık yalnız yöneticilere açık.
• Yetkili Ekibi sayfası: bir moderatörün baktığı her forumun adını, ziyaretçinin göremediği forumlar dahil listeliyordu. Artık yalnız ziyaretçinin açabileceği forumları, doğru bağlantılarla listeliyor.
• Profillerde Hakkında metni: bir üyenin Hakkında metnindeki gizli içerik bloklarının metni artık diğer ziyaretçilere gönderilmiyor. Profilin arama motoru verisindeki ve kapağındaki Hakkında metni artık düz metin; BB kodu etiketleri orada görünmüyor.
• Konuşmalar: bir konuşmanın okundu durumu artık yalnız panonun kendi sayfalarından ve API istemcilerinden güncelleniyor.

• Güncellemeler artık eklediğiniz dosyaları silmiyor. 1.9.7'nin uygulama içi güncelleyicisi, yeni sürümde bulunmayan her dosyayı src/, templates/, public/assets/ ve migrations/ klasörlerinden siliyordu; bir yöneticinin oraya eklediği dosyalar da dahil. 1.9.8'den itibaren güncelleyici sürümün dosya listesini sürüm paketinden alıyor ve yalnız değiştirmediğiniz sürüm dosyalarını siliyor; eklediğiniz ya da düzenlediğiniz dosyalar yerinde kalıyor, korunan değiştirilmiş dosyalar günlüğe yazılıyor. 1.9.8'e güncellemeyi yine 1.9.7 güncelleyicisi yürütür: bir sonraki yanıttaki Güncellemeden önce bölümüne bakın.
• Mühürlü (lisansla korunan) kurulumlar: bütünlük denetimi sıkılaştı. Hasarlı ya da eksik bir kurulum artık sessizce kabul edilmiyor: açık bir hata ya da yönetim sayfalarında neyin düzeltilmesi gerektiğini söyleyen bir uyarı gösteriyor; giriş sayfası ve yönetim paneli açık kalıyor.
• Yeniden mühürleme, bir güncelleme sürerken bekliyor. Bir güncelleme kurulumu yeniden mühürleyemeden durursa yöneticiler yönetim sayfalarında bir uyarı görüyor; pano bir yönetici yönetim panelini açınca yeniden deniyor (en çok saatte bir), ya da Yönetim → Lisans altında Yeniden doğrula'ya tıklayabilirsiniz.
• Pano lisans anahtarını lisans sunucusundan geri yüklerken gelen istekler artık başarısız olmak yerine onu bekliyor.
• İki kez işlenen istekler: yönetim paneline, API'ye, giriş sayfasına ya da kuruluma gelen ve pano içinde hata veren bir istek, lisans denetimi tarafından ikinci kez çalıştırılıyordu. Artık bir kez çalışıyor ve asıl hata panonun hata işleyişine gidiyor.

Yeni

• Rota filtresi formu artık açık bir dille konuşuyor: Yeni adres (ziyaretçilerin gördüğü) ve Mevcut adres (panonun zaten sunduğu sayfa); filtrenin ne yapacağını gösteren canlı önizleme, bir örnek ve Yer değiştir düğmesi var.

• Takma ad ve yalnız-URL filtreleri artık yönetim paneline, API'ye ya da kuruluma işaret edemiyor (böyle bir filtre adresini kendine yönlendiriyordu); oralar için yönlendirme filtresi kullanın. Eski formun özelleştirilmiş metinleri korunuyor.

• Yeni Verilen Uyarıları Düzenle izni olan yetkililer, verilen uyarıları düzenleyebiliyor: puan, süre, başlık ve üyeye mesaj. Her değişiklik moderatör günlüğüne yazılıyor; eklenen ya da düşen puanlar üyenin toplamını ve otomatik işlemleri güncelliyor. Güncellemeden sonra uyarı verebilen herkes uyarı da düzenleyebilir.
• Yönetim → Uyarılar → Hazır uyarılar (yönetim menüsünde de var): başlık, puan, süre ve üyeye gidecek mesajı içeren, istenirse özel konuşma olarak da gönderilen hazır uyarılar. Moderatörler uyarı verirken birini seçiyor ve tanımın izin verdiği yerde puanı ve süreyi değiştirebiliyor.
• Kuroxis, Stable, Kotton ve Aslitium kendi profil sayfalarını getiriyor: bugün 1.9.8 ile çıkan güncellemeleri (Kuroxis 1.0.37, Stable 1.1.17, Kotton 1.0.28, Aslitium 1.0.12) profilin Uyarılar sekmesine düzenle düğmesini ekliyor. Bu temaların daha eski bir sürümünde üyenin profilinde uyarı penceresini açın; pencere üyenin etkin uyarılarını düzenle düğmesiyle listeliyor.

• İfadelerin yanında Özel karakterler düğmesi (Ω): Yunan harfleri, matematik, elektrik birimleri, üst ve alt simge, oklar, para birimi ve yazım işaretleri. Türkçe ve İngilizce aranabiliyor, son kullanılanlar en üstte, tamamen klavyeyle kullanılabiliyor.
• Fabrika araç çubuğunu kullanan panolarda düğme 992 px ve daha geniş ekranlarda görünüyor. Daha dar ekranlarda ve özelleştirilmiş araç çubuğu olan panolarda (araç çubuğuna dokunulmuyor) editörün Daha fazla (…) menüsünde; Yönetim → BB Kodları → Buton Yöneticisi'nden yerleştirilebiliyor.

• 18 satırdan uzun bir kod bloğu artık kendi kutusunun içinde kayıyor (24rem yükseklik, telefonda 18rem); Kopyala'nın yanında Genişlet / Daralt düğmesi var. Daraltınca blok yeniden görünür alana kaydırılıyor.
• Yükseklikler özel CSS'te --rb-code-max-height ve --rb-code-max-height-phone ile değiştirilebiliyor.

• Konu ön eki tasarımları artık telefonda varsayılan olarak görünüyor. Eski sade görünüm Seçenekler → İçerik → Telefonda konu ön ekleri altında hâlâ seçilebiliyor ve artık ön ek rengini düz bir rozet olarak koruyor. Yöneticisi sade görünümü bilerek seçmiş panolarda bu ayar korunuyor.

• Forum ve kategori logoları artık tüm temalarda, tema güncellemesi gerekmeden aynı kuralla çiziliyor: her logo aynı yükseklikte bir kutuda (varsayılan 32 px), oranı korunarak duruyor. Geniş logolar ikon alanına genişliyor; kare ve dikey logolar ortalanıyor. Böylece hiçbir temada logo kesilmiyor, sündürülmüyor ya da taşmıyor.
• Logoların arkasındaki renkli kare kalktı (Font Awesome ikonlarında duruyor); zemin isterseniz pano özel CSS'ine :root { --rb-node-ico-img-bg: #f4f4f5; } ekleyin. Koyu modda logolar açık bir plakada gösteriliyor, böylece saydam zeminli koyu logolar okunuyor; saydam zeminli beyaz bir logo için koyu zeminli bir sürüm yükleyin.

• Yönetim paneline yeni görünüm, açık ve koyu modda: daha belirgin sayfa ve kart başlıkları, daha net bir üst çubuk (Ctrl/⌘+K ile açılan arama kutusu, açık/koyu anahtarı ve Forumu Görüntüle), listelerde çerçeveli eylem düğmeleri ve modern form kontrolleri: çerçeveli dosya düğmeleri, üzerine dosya bırakılabilen yükleme kutuları (stil logoları ve favicon'lar için "Dosya seç ya da buraya sürükle"), oklu seçim kutuları, yenilenen onay kutuları, renk, tarih ve sayı alanları.
• Metinler, rozetler ve sayfalamadaki geçerli sayfa numarası iki modda da okunuyor (açık modda bazıları soluk turuncu ya da beyaz üstüne beyazdı), kenarlıklar belirgin; devre dışı düğmeler soluk değil, kullanılamaz görünüyor. Yönetici giriş sayfası da aynı görünümde. Sayfalar ve menü öğeleri yerinde kalıyor; standart yönetim stillerini kullanan eklenti sayfaları yeni görünümü kendiliğinden alıyor.
• Yönetim menüsü: gruplar kapalı açılıyor, bulunulan sayfanın grubu açık; Tümünü aç / Tümünü kapat bütün grupları açıp kapatıyor. Menü hangi grupları açtığınızı hatırlıyor ve sayfadan sayfaya kaydırma konumunu koruyor.
• Yarıda kalan güncellemeler: sunucu bir güncellemeyi yarıda keserse pano artık bakım modunda kalmıyor. Güncelleyici ortadan kalkınca açtığı pencere hemen kapanıyor (açılışından sonraki ilk dakika hariç); bu denetlenemiyorsa 15 dakika sonra kapanıyor. Elle açılan bakım moduna hiç dokunulmuyor.
• Bir güncelleme çalışmamış veritabanı geçişi bıraktıysa süper yöneticiler her yönetim sayfasında Son güncelleme tamamlanmadı uyarısını ve Güncellemeyi tamamla düğmesini görüyor. Düğme kalan veritabanı geçişlerini, şablonları, ana verileri, önbellekleri ve yeniden mühürlemeyi çalıştırıyor; eksik sürüm kod dosyalarını adıyla gösteriyor, böylece önce yeniden yükleyebilirsiniz.
• Arka plan bakım şeridi: bir güncellemenin ağır veritabanı işleri güncellemeden sonra arka planda tamamlanabiliyor; yönetim sayfalarında ilerleme ve Şimdi çalıştır düğmesi görünüyor (bir sonraki yanıttaki Güncellemeden sonra bölümüne bakın).
• Sunucu cron bandı: son bir saatte hiçbir sunucu cron görevi çalışmadıysa yönetim panosu bunu cron görevlerini yönetebilen yöneticilere söylüyor; zamanlanmış görevlerin ziyaretçilerin sayfa görüntülemeleriyle mi yürüdüğünü, yoksa hiç mi çalışmadığını belirtiyor ve Cron görevleri sayfasına bağlantı veriyor.
• Forum URL'si uyarısı: kayıtlı Forum URL'si (Seçenekler → Genel) boşsa ya da tam bir adres değilse süper yöneticiler her yönetim sayfasında bir uyarı görüyor; çünkü o olmadan parola sıfırlama ve hesap etkinleştirme bağlantıları, site haritası ve kanonik etiketler doğru oluşturulamıyor.
• Sesli mesajlar — kim kaydedebilir, kim dinleyebilir: iki yeni grup izni, Sesli Mesajları Dinle ve Sesli Mesaj Kaydet; kullanıcı grubu başına ve forum başına ayarlanıyor (forum izin tablosunda ikisi de var), mevcut sesli mesaj seçeneklerinin üstüne. Güncelleme bugünkü davranışı korur: misafirler dahil her grup dinleyebilir; mesaj yazabilen ya da dosya yükleyebilen gruplar kaydedebilir. Yeni üyelerde kaydı kapalı bırakıp grup terfisiyle açabilirsiniz.
• Telefon varsayılan stili: Seçenekler → Genel → Telefon varsayılan stili telefondan gelen ziyaretçilere masaüstünden farklı bir varsayılan stil verir (ör. telefonda daha sade bir stil). Üyenin kendi stili, misafirin stil seçimi ve forumun kendi stili yine önce gelir. Varsayılan olarak kapalı; açıkken ziyaretçiler sayfanın altındaki Mobil görünüm / Masaüstü görünüm ile değiştirir.
• Ayarlar tek yerde: iki yerde bulunan ayarların artık tek yeri var ve güncelleme değerinizi taşır: favicon ve dokunmatik simge stil başına ayarlanır (Stiller → stil özellikleri), kayıtta e-posta doğrulamasının tek anahtarı var, analitik onay seçenekleri artık birbiriyle çelişmiyor (onay zorunluysa onaya uyulur), alt bilgideki "en çok çevrimiçi" kaydı, çevrimiçi bileşeninin tuttuğu daha yüksek kaydı devralır. Hiçbir şeyi değiştirmeyen Konu Başına Maksimum Anket alanı (Seçenekler → Anketler) kaldırıldı.
• E-posta gönderen adı: Seçenekler → E-posta altındaki E-posta Gönderen Adı boş bırakılırsa e-postalar forum başlığıyla gönderilir. Hâlâ hazır gelen "RaxBoard Forum" değerini taşıyan panolar artık kendi forum başlığını kullanır; sizin yazdığınız ad kalır.
• Grup bahsetmeleri için e-posta: Seçenekler → E-posta → Grup bahsetmeleri için e-posta, bir grup bahsetmesinin (tüm üyelere, yetkililere ya da yöneticilere yapılan bahsetme) bahsetme e-postası da gönderip göndermeyeceğini belirler. Varsayılan "Hemen gönder (her üyenin e-posta tercihi geçerli)" bugünkü davranışı korur. "Grup bahsetmeleri için e-posta gönderme (yalnız site içi bildirim)" seçilirse üyeler site içi bildirimi ve anlık bildirimleri yine alır, yalnız e-posta gitmez. Bir üyenin adıyla bahsedilmesi eskisi gibi e-posta gönderir. Tüm üyelere yapılan tek bir bahsetme 500'e kadar e-posta demektir ve e-posta sağlayıcısının günlük kotasını bitirebilir.
• Mesajların yanındaki eklenti satırları: Seçenekler → İçerik → Gönderilerin Yanında Eklenti Satırları, eklentilerin her mesajın yanındaki yazar bilgilerine ekleyebileceği en fazla satır sayısını belirler; sınır tüm eklentiler için ortaktır ve satırlar eklentilerin yüklenme sırasıyla dolar: varsayılan eskisi gibi 4; 0 eklenti satırlarını gizler; en çok 12. Mesajlar, Konular ve Katılım gibi çekirdek satırlar sayılmaz.

• Formüller artık panonun kendi sunucusundaki KaTeX ile çiziliyor (CDN yok). [math] etiketi çalışıyor; $$ algılama yükseltilen panolarda açık kalır, yeni kurulumlarda Seçenekler → Editör'den açılabilir. \gdef artık yalnız kendi formülünde geçerli; çok uzun ya da çok derin iç içe bir formül sayfayı yavaşlatmak yerine kaynak metni olarak gösteriliyor.

• Yeni ölçütler: kupalar ve kullanıcı grubu terfileri artık açılan konu sayısını, kabul edilen cevap sayısını (mesajlardaki üye bilgisinde görünen sayıyla aynı), itibarı ve aktiviteyi de kullanabiliyor: forumda geçirilen süre, aktif gün sayısı ve en uzun günlük ziyaret serisi. Kupalarda ayrıca son 30 günde aktif gün sayısı da kullanılabilir. Aktivite güncellemeden itibaren ve yalnız panonun bir sayfası görünürken sayılır (açık ama kullanılmayan sayfa da sayılır; API istekleri sayılmaz). Seçenekler → Kupalar → Üye Aktivitesini Kaydet ile kapatılabilir. Üyenin aktivite kaydı kişisel veri dışa aktarımına dahildir; hesap silinince ya da anonimleştirilince bu kayıt da silinir.
• Ölçütler sayfası: Yönetim → Kupalar → Ölçütler her ölçütü, onu kullanan kural sayısıyla listeler. Yeni ölçütler tek tek kapatılabilir (bir kuralın kullandığı ölçüt kapatılamaz); dört klasik ölçüt (mesaj sayısı, tepki puanı, kupa puanı ve kayıt günü sayısı) her zaman açıktır. Ölçütü kullanılamayan bir kural (ölçüt kapatıldıysa ya da onu ekleyen eklenti devre dışı bırakıldıysa veya kaldırıldıysa) ölçüt geri gelene kadar bekletilir: böyle bir terfiyle kimse terfi etmez ya da indirilmez, böyle bir kupa da verilmez.
• Kupa ve terfi formlarında formun düzenleyemediği koşullar (bir eklentiden, bir içe aktarmadan ya da kapalı bir ölçütten gelenler) "Olduğu gibi korunuyor" olarak gösterilir ve değişmeden kaydedilir. Bir kupa kuralı artık aynı ölçütü iki kez kullanamaz (foruma özel ölçütlerde aynı forumu iki kez) ve en az bir ≥, > ya da = koşulu ile sıfırdan büyük bir değer içermelidir. Buna uymayan mevcut kupalar eskisi gibi çalışır, ancak yeniden kaydedilmeden önce düzeltilmeleri gerekir.
• Foruma özel kupalar: bir kupa tek bir forumda (alt forumları dahil) açılan konu, mesaj ya da kabul edilen cevap sayısını şart koşabilir: kupa formunda Kazanma Ölçütleri altında "Bir Forumda Açılan Konu Sayısı", "Bir Forumdaki Mesaj Sayısı" ya da "Bir Forumdaki Kabul Edilen Cevap Sayısı"nı seçip forumu belirleyin. Kupa listesi forumun adını yalnız o forumu görebilen ziyaretçilere gösterir; forumu silinen kupa beklemeye alınır. 20.000'den fazla mesajı olan üyelerde "Bir Forumdaki Mesaj Sayısı" yalnız kupa görevi sunucu cron göreviyle çalıştığında sayılır.
• Profilde kupa ilerlemesi: üyeler kendi profillerinin üstünde, en yakın oldukları kupayı ilerleme çubuğuyla gösteren kompakt bir kart görür; kart açılınca en yakın üç kupa koşul koşul listelenir. Kart ayrıca üyenin sıradaki otomatik unvanını (unvanı kullanıcı unvan basamağından geliyorsa) ve İlerlemeyi üyelere göster işaretli terfilerde sıradaki rütbeye ne kadar yaklaştığını da gösterir. Bu anahtar terfi formundadır, varsayılan olarak kapalıdır (mevcut her terfide de) ve yalnız banner'ı ya da kullanıcı unvanı olan hedef gruplar için geçerlidir. Kartı başka kimse görmez. Tüm temalarda görünür; Seçenekler → Kupalar → Üyenin kendi profilinde kupa ilerlemesi ile kapatılabilir.
• Haftanın Üyesi ve Ayın Üyesi: pano en etkin üyelerini otomatik seçebilir: mesaj, açılan konu, diğer üyelerden gelen tepki ya da kabul edilen cevap sayısına göre, tüm panoda ya da yalnız seçilen forumlarda. Bir hafta (panonun saat diliminde pazartesiden pazara) ya da bir takvim ayı bitince önde gelen üye, ya da en çok üç üye, bir sonraki dönem boyunca mesajlarında ve profilinde "Haftanın Üyesi" ya da "Ayın Üyesi" banner'ını taşır ve bir bildirim alır (kupa bildirimi tercihine göre).
• İkisi de güncellemeden sonra kapalıdır: Seçenekler → Kupalar → Haftanın üyesi / Ayın üyesi ile açın; ölçütü, forumları, kazanan sayısını, en düşük değeri ve yönetim ekibinin dışarıda tutulup tutulmayacağını (varsayılan olarak dışarıda tutulur) da orada ayarlarsınız. Birini açtığınızda son biten haftanın ya da ayın kazananı 15 dakika içinde banner'ı alır; daha önceki dönemler geriye dönük hesaplanmaz. Banner'lar iki yeni kullanıcı grubuna aittir; metnini, rengini ya da simgesini kullanıcı grubu düzenleyicisinde değiştirebilirsiniz. İzni olan bir grup, yetkili grubu, Misafir ya da kayıt grubu banner grubu olarak seçilemez.
• Kullanıcı unvan basamağı: basamak artık mesaj sayısı, kupa puanı ve tepki puanının yanında itibar, açılan konu ya da kabul edilen cevap sayısına göre de tırmanabilir (Yönetim → Kupalar → Kullanıcı unvan basamağı → Basamak neye göre tırmanır). Basamaklar artık önbellekte tutuluyor; bu, sayfa başına birkaç veritabanı sorgusu kazandırıyor. Ölçütler sayfası basamağı ölçüt kullanan bir kural saymaz, bu yüzden basamağın tırmandığı ölçütü kapatmanıza izin verir; o ölçütü açık tutun, yoksa bazı basamak unvanları gösterilmez.

• Kayıt formu artık panonun kendi adresleri için kullandığı adları (örneğin admin, forums, members ya da search, kurulu bir eklentinin ya da bir rota filtresinin adresi, panonun web klasöründeki bir dosyanın adı) ve panonun kendi ekibi sanılabilecek support, moderator, official gibi adları kabul etmiyor. Üyeler de adlarını artık böyle bir adla değiştiremiyor. Büyük harfler ve Türkçe harfler fark etmiyor (ADMIN ve Admın da admin sayılır).
• Bu adlardan birini zaten taşıyan üyeler adlarını korur. Yöneticiler Yönetim → Kullanıcılar altında yine istedikleri adı verebilir; kaydettikten sonra kullanıcı düzenleyicisi bir not gösterir.

Güncellemeden önce

1. Veritabanının ve dosyaların yedeğini alın.
2. Çekirdek klasörlerindeki kendi dosyalarınız: 1.9.8'e güncellemeyi 1.9.7'nin uygulama içi güncelleyicisi yürütür; bu güncelleyici src/, templates/, public/assets/ ya da migrations/ altına eklediğiniz dosyaları (örneğin public/assets/ içindeki görselleri) silebilir. Böyle dosyalarınız varsa başlamadan önce bunları güvenli bir yere kopyalayın, güncellemeden sonra yerlerine koyun. 1.9.8'den sonraki güncellemeler onları korur.
3. Büyük panolar: bazı bakım işleri güncellemeden sonra arka planda, kısa adımlarla bitiyor, pano bu sırada normal çalışıyor: tepkiler tablosundaki dizin, etkilenen mesajların arama dizini, silinmiş üyelerden kalan satırların temizliği ve ad değişikliği geçmişi çok uzun panolarda bu geçmişe dizin. Yönetim panelindeki şerit ilerlemeyi gösteriyor; sunucu cron görevi varsa (Yönetim → Cron) her şey kendiliğinden biter, yoksa dizin işleri oradaki Şimdi çalıştır'ı ya da kabuktan php bin/raxboard schema:jobs --run komutunu bekler.

RaxBoard 1.9.8 in detail (2 of 2): developers, fixes, after upgrading

For add-on and theme developers

• Extension points (CoreApi features attachment_access, attachment_delete_guard, sitemap_providers, report_targets): add-ons decide who may open and delete their attachments, add sitemap addresses ("sitemap": "provider") and let the core report dialog check their content per viewer.
• Trophy and promotion criteria from add-ons (CoreApi feature criteria_registry, classes in App\Domain\Criteria): CriterionRegistry::register(CriterionDefinition::fromArray([...]), $resolver) or a CriteriaCollectEvent listener, keys <add-on>.<name>; CriterionResolverInterface::resolve($userIds, CriterionContext $context) returns a whole number per member or null (unknown: trophy skipped, promotion held, also while the add-on is disabled or removed, except rules stored under an undotted alias). They appear on the Criteria page and in the rule builders without template changes. A refused definition is logged once and never throws; a throwing resolver turns its criterion off for that request or task. Keep the resolver in its own file, behind CoreApi::has('criteria_registry') (absent on 1.9.7). BuildingUserStatsEvent still works for the four classic criteria and unregistered keys only.
• Events (after the commit; check with class_exists): App\Domain\Trophy\Event\TrophyAwardedEvent (userId, trophyId, points, notified) per trophy earned live, never for imports or silent checks (after the update, on trophy creation or change, weekly), so rewarding listeners never pay out a backlog; App\Domain\ContentVote\Events\SolutionMarkedEvent (threadId, postId, postAuthorUserId, actorUserId, marked) when a solution is marked or unmarked (a move sends marked = false for the old answer, then marked = true for the new).
• Removed unused code: App\Domain\Trophy\CriteriaEvaluator (rules: App\Domain\Trophy\Service\TrophyCriteriaEvaluator), ContentVoteService::markSolution() / unmarkSolution() and the solution helpers of ContentVoteRepository.
• Account menu hook: account pages render <rax:hook name="account_sidebar_end" /> after the menu items; output items should use <a class="acc-nav-item" href="…"><i class="fa-solid …"></i><span>…</span></a>.
• Saving BB code: \App\Domain\BbCode\BbCodeSaveValidator::normalize() (behind class_exists) cleans values like the core does.
• Profile links: \App\Support\ProfileUrl::for($id, $username) (templates: $profileUrlFor($id, $username); new in 1.9.8, guard with class_exists on older cores) instead of a hand-built /profile/…; reaction list (also in clubs), thread presence (/api/v1/presence/thread/… too) and poll voter JSON carries profile_url per member (use it for links); /profile/{name}.{id} keeps working.
• Smaller changes: addons.active is gone (read state); bin/raxboard addon:… install and upgrade have the board's cache (setup code clearing it works from the CLI); theme export no longer bundles core translations on an installed board; SeoService::setCanonical() is a deprecated no-op, to be removed.
• Postbit stat rows: the cap on add-on rows per post (\App\Support\PostbitStatRowRegistry) is the postbit_addon_rows_max option (0 to 12, default 4, all providers together in add-on load order); a provider may return 12 rows (was 4); at 0, rows() is not called; rows left out are logged by name in data/logs/ (debug line, normally at most once a day per set).
• Core libraries in public/vendor/ (see Fixes → Updates): from the update after 1.9.8 on, a library moved to a new version folder loses its old folder (for example sortablejs/1.15.6/) on updated boards; add-ons and themes loading a core library by its versioned path should check it with each core release, or ship their own copy.
• Formulas: KaTeX's auto-render extension is no longer loaded (1.9.7 took it from a CDN), so renderMathInElement() is undefined. The core draws [math] always, and $$…$$ and other delimited formulas while $$ detection is on, in .post-prose, .bbcode-content, .rb-post__body, .rf-post-body and data-rb-post-body containers, also after htmx swaps and rb:content-updated; rb-math-skip excludes a region.
• MariaDB error 1020 ("Record has changed since last read", 11.6.2 and newer) cancels a whole transaction like a deadlock (1213); the core treats both alike, and add-ons that retry after a deadlock should retry after 1020 too.
• Security token for API calls made with the member's sign-in: scripts that change data through /api/… with the member's session (no API key) must send the CSRF token (the <meta name="csrf-token"> value) as the _csrf_token field or the X-CSRF-TOKEN header. From 1.9.8 the core's own API addresses refuse such a request without it; send it on add-on API addresses too. Clients that use an API key and send no member cookies are not affected. Take the token from the meta tag, not the rax_csrf cookie, which Shared Guest Page Cache boards do not accept for signed-in members. Forms posted from another host of the same domain are refused (see the previous reply).
• Removed option rows that nothing in the core, RaxBoard's add-ons or the themes read, among them content_max_polls_per_thread, date_format, time_format, avatar_dimensions, the six integration_discord_*, integration_slack_*, integration_telegram_* options and board_favicon_url (read the style's faviconUrl; LayoutMainView::favicon() no longer falls back to it, its $options argument kept but unused), plus the emailFromName template variable.
• Alert macro macros/ui/alert::alert: takes a title; prints its slot without bodyContent; role="alert" for danger and warning, else role="status"; icon hidden from screen readers; closes without inline script (data-rb-alert-dismiss, rb-layout.js). layouts/main banners close via data-rb-flash and take the theme's --success, --danger, --warning, --info; themes with their own layouts/main can switch to it and drop inline onclick; themes that style the banners need a selector more specific than .flash-banner.flash-success.
• Admin radius scale for add-on admin pages: --rb-admin-radius-xs / -sm / -md / -lg / -xl / -full (3, 4, 6, 8, 10px, full), admin panel only; a fallback like var(--rb-admin-radius-lg, 12px) keeps your value on older cores, unlike the generic --radius-* that themes also define.

Fixes

• Installs in a subfolder (example.com/forum/): front-end and admin AJAX calls now use the folder; previously some actions failed with 404.
• Kuroxis 1.0.37, Aslitium 1.0.12, Stable 1.1.17 and Vision 1.0.21 bring their own page layout and get the same fix in today's update: on a subfolder board, update the theme too. The other themes use the core layout.

• Inserting a smilie or a character in source mode no longer jumps the text box (and the page) to the end of a long post.
• Imported posts with links written in double quotes no longer lose the link when edited.
• The text colour dialog previews the colour on a plain sentence about the board, not a tongue-twister, in every shipped language; a preview text you changed is kept.

• Push notifications sent with no notification icon set, the installable-app manifest and the service worker pointed at never-shipped icons (a broken image); they now use the default style's touch icon or favicon, otherwise the bundled RaxBoard icon.
• On the notifications page, the line under each notification showed an internal key (such as credits_received) in every language; it now shows the notification type's name, as on the notification preferences page, or only the time.

• Mail provider quota: mail the SMTP provider refused for a used-up daily or monthly quota was marked failed and never sent, activation and password-reset e-mails included. It now stays queued with the mail behind it and goes out on its own when the quota resets (shortly after midnight UTC the next day, or on the 1st of the next month for a monthly quota); until then the board neither contacts the provider nor falls back to PHP mail(). Send Test (Options → Email) still tries at once: it says when mail resumes, or ends the hold if the test goes through.

• Posts with more than 64 KB of text were left out of the search index without a message; their first 64 KB are now indexed, and the cut is logged.

• After a failed submission, the login, registration, new conversation and new thread forms keep what you typed (never passwords).
• Escape closes the notifications, conversations and other drop-down menus, and focus returns to the button that opened them.
• Keyboard and screen readers: Skip to content and the header search box show a clear focus ring from the keyboard; the light / dark / system buttons have a name and tell screen readers which one is selected.

• In a club, names in the list of who reacted to a post led to "page not found"; they now open the member's profile.

• The passkey button on the two-factor screen follows the Enable Passkeys option, as on the login page.

• Editing, expiring (by hand or by the scheduled task) or deleting a warning at the same moment as another of these could lower the member's points twice or by the old amount. They now wait for each other: points drop once, by the current amount; the task no longer expires a warning whose expiry an edit just moved later; a second expiry or deletion of the same warning (for example a double click) changes nothing.

• "Top (horizontal)" postbit (Style tweaks): in every theme, group banners sit under the name and title and the info box on the right, top-aligned, with add-on rows inside; in themes without their own postbit, trophies move under the banners so they cannot push the info box down a line. Banners stay hidden at 768 px and narrower. Themes with their own top-avatar layout fix it themselves (see After upgrading).
• The Default theme no longer keeps its own copies of the forum page, tag page, 404 and no-permission templates; they follow the core, so later core improvements reach it directly. Prefix filter pills on forum pages carry their prefix class.
• Theme templates that the 1.9.7 update marked as changed although nothing had changed lose that mark.
• Importing or updating a theme no longer deletes the style settings add-ons keep for it (for example Resource Hub or Latest Threads).
• Message banners (success, error, warning, information) are readable in light and dark mode in all RaxBoard themes (many used a pale status colour), with a larger close button that is no longer dimmed (44 px on phones); clicking the banner still closes it. In the core page layout and the Default theme they close without inline script, so they work under a strict Content Security Policy (edited banners: see After upgrading).
• Pages that moved while loading: with Side rail — left or Side rail — right ads (Admin → Advertising), the page column has its final width from the start at 1220 px and wider, also for visitors who closed the rails; on phones, profile header buttons no longer rearrange after loading (extra actions sit in the ⋯ menu from the start; all are shown if the page script cannot run).
• On phones in right-to-left languages, the header button group (sign-in and registration, or a member's icons) moves to the end of the bar in themes such as Kalium and Pamasra; themes spacing their own header keep their layout.
• Default theme: the last breadcrumb item (the current page) is easier to read in light and dark mode; a colour you set yourself is kept.
• Trophy progress values and page numbers with a thousands separator no longer show extra space around it in some themes.

• Category pages have a canonical address and, when structured data is on, structured data (collection page and breadcrumbs).
• The member list's canonical, previous and next links carry only the page number.

• The Recovery Codes Count field (Admin → Options → Security) is removed: backup codes always come as a set of ten, so it changed nothing.
• Fresh installs: the administrator gets ID 1, the guest-author account ID 2, and the welcome thread is the administrator's; the installer refuses "Guest" as the administrator name, and an install whose last step (administrator and welcome thread) fails stops cleanly instead of reporting success.
• Migrate add-on: version 1.2.6 and later, including 1.3.0 (released this week) and 1.3.1 (released with 1.9.8), work with this layout: an import that keeps member IDs moves the guest-author account above the imported IDs first.
• RaxBoard Analytics now counts the guest page views the browser reports itself (pages from a shared cache, pages loaded ahead of time), which some servers, OpenLiteSpeed among them, missed.

• From the next update after 1.9.8 on, the updater's own pre-migration database dump checks its real result (a cut-off dump used to count as a success), is limited to 3 minutes where the server supports it and is skipped above 512 MB (the reason is logged; keep your own backups); each update step goes to the PHP error log with its duration.
• Bundled libraries (public/vendor/): with 1.9.8 installed, the File Health Check (Admin → Compatibility) also reports changed or missing files of KaTeX, CodeMirror, Font Awesome, htmx and SortableJS, and core backups (Create Backup, the updater's pre-update backup) include them for Rollback. From the next update after 1.9.8 on, the updater also removes library files a release drops (only unchanged ones from the previous release, only in library folders the release keeps); your own folders and files directly in public/vendor/ stay, and each removal is named in the PHP error log. Keep your own scripts out of bundled library folders. The 1.9.7 updater running this update neither backs up nor cleans the folder.

• Upgrading an add-on no longer removes its hook points and content types (the upgrade did not restore them), setup log or migration history; uninstalling or upgrading also clears the cached hook point and content type lists.
• Where a folder in the board's path ends in "addons" (for example /home/addons/forum or /home/myaddons/board), installing an add-on in the admin panel (from the marketplace, an uploaded archive or a folder in addons/) failed with "does not match its directory"; it now works.
• The add-on uninstall confirmation now says the resources will be removed (English and Turkish; other languages with their packs). Requirement warnings an add-on reports during install or upgrade are now shown to the administrator and written to the error log instead of being dropped.

• Shared Guest Page Cache (CDN / LiteSpeed) (Options → Performance, off by default): guests' browsers no longer keep their own page copies; before, a guest who switched style, language or Mobile view / Desktop view could get the old look on earlier pages for up to Guest Page Cache (seconds) (300 by default). That time now applies only to the CDN or server cache; the browser asks again on every page. Boards with the option off are not affected.

• Member permissions are compiled once per group combination and shared (personal permissions get their own copy), not per member and forum. The update empties the permission cache; in the first minutes after it, permissions are prepared again, at a fraction of the former cost.
• Busy boards: most page views of a member no longer wait for each other's session lock; the thread page fetches bookmark and reaction details in two requests, not one per post; guests without a cookie no longer create a session row per request.
• Board statistics, the Recent Posts and Recent activity widgets, similar threads, trophy names, member list solution counts, trending lists and tag pages read far fewer database rows.
• Web cron (scheduled tasks on visitor traffic) takes at most 6 seconds of a member's request (was 20); after a server cron run in the last 10 minutes, page views run no tasks, and the two web-cron paths no longer both run a batch in one minute. /cron.php called directly keeps 20 seconds.
• Icons on slow connections: the core page layout and the Default theme request the icon font (Font Awesome solid) at the very start, so icons arrive before the page first appears; themes with their own page layout are unchanged.
• Automatic trophies no longer check every member each run: a run looks at members seen since the last one, a silent full check runs weekly, web-started runs (web cron or Run Award Cycle) stop after 3 seconds and continue next time, and promotions read members in batches. Run Award Cycle says so when another cycle is running.
• Cron jobs (command line or /cron.php over HTTP) and other console commands no longer leave an empty guest session row on every run (about 1,440 rows a day with a cron job every minute); /cron.php no longer sets a cookie.

After upgrading

• On large boards, check the strip on the admin pages (or php bin/raxboard schema:jobs --status); without a server cron job, finish index builds with its Run now, which also retries a failed job (shown in red, details in the admin log).

• The affected posts are indexed again from their text, through the board's search engine, the same way php bin/raxboard search:reindex does it: small boards during the update, larger boards in the background.

• If the admin dashboard shows "Scheduled tasks are running on visitor requests" or "Scheduled tasks are not running", set up the server cron job shown on the Cron tasks page; background maintenance also finishes faster with it.

• Edited Default theme forum page, tag page, 404 or no-permission templates are kept and listed in the admin log. In its main layout (layouts/main) the update changes only the message banners and the Font Awesome line; an edited one of these two parts keeps your version and is listed in the admin log, and your other layout edits stay.
• Dash, Goliath, Legacy, Wavy, Kalium and Pamasra fix their own top-avatar layout (Theme Customizer → Layout → Post author layout → Top avatar) since their versions of this week (Dash 1.0.3, Goliath 1.0.1, Legacy 1.0.4, Wavy 1.0.3, Kalium 1.0.13, Pamasra 1.0.5); later versions keep the fix. Update these themes after the core.

• Behind Cloudflare or another CDN that caches the board's pages (for example with Shared Guest Page Cache (CDN / LiteSpeed) under Options → Performance, or a "Cache Everything" rule): skip the cache for every request carrying the forum_session or the rax_remember cookie; on Cloudflare, use a Cache Rule set to Bypass cache, and if it names only forum_session, add rax_remember. Otherwise a member signed in with "remember me" whose session has ended can be shown the cached guest page, and the first form sent from it may be refused once. Never cache /csrf-token either.
• Shared guest page cache: keep this option on only behind a CDN or a LiteSpeed server cache: guests' browsers no longer reuse pages, so without one the board builds every guest page view itself. Behind Cloudflare, leave the browser cache time to the board (Browser Cache TTL "Respect Existing Headers"; Browser TTL "Respect origin" in a cache rule), or old pages come back after a style or language switch.

• Default letter avatars load from static addresses under /data/avatars/default/… (old /avatars/default/… addresses keep working); add the new path to avatar rules in front of the board (CDN or firewall). A darker shade of the same colour keeps the white letter readable; members keep their colour family, and themes with their own avatar colours keep them.
• Push contact address: browsers' push services get Push Contact Email (Options → Push Notifications) or, when it is empty, now the Contact email address (Options → General); the Board URL only when both are empty.
• Unused settings removed: besides the poll limit field, hidden settings nothing read are deleted (old board-wide date and time formats, avatar dimensions, never-connected Discord, Slack and Telegram fields), so nothing changes; dates follow each language's format (Admin → Languages). The old board-wide favicon address is removed after its value is carried into your styles.
• Recent Posts and Recent activity widgets: for a viewer who may read only part of the board, with more than 20,000 posts in their readable forums, the widget looks back only about 30 days beyond the board's newest posts, so the list can be shorter; smaller scopes are filled as before.
• Similar threads come from the forum's 2,000 most recently active threads (sticky threads always count), so in very large forums older matches can give way to newer ones.
• Board statistics take thread and post totals from the forum counters, so they match the forum list.
• In the editor, a link with an uncommon address type (for example a game-client link) or a YouTube or Vimeo id in an unexpected format shows as BB code text and is saved unchanged.
• Posts with tags wrongly nested around a code block may look different: the code block always stays whole.
• Signatures: BB codes with Allow in Signatures off, built-in ones included, are removed from signatures (images, media and hidden-content codes with their content, others leaving their text), on display at once and in the stored signature at the member's next save; likewise hidden-content blocks for members without Extended Text in Signature. Links and mentions follow the group's signature permissions (url off: bare web addresses still become links under Links in Signature; user off: mentions still work). New BB codes start with Allow in Signatures ticked.
• Warnings: everyone who could issue warnings can now also edit them; remove the new Edit Issued Warnings permission from groups that should not.
• Member list: only administrators can sort by e-mail address.
• Trophies:
  
  • After the update, the trophy task checks every trophy for every member once, silently, over its first runs (faster with a server cron job): due trophies come without an alert, and trophy alerts start when it is done. Activity criteria start at zero.
  • A trophy whose stored rule has nothing under user (for example from an older import in another layout) is no longer awarded to every member; awarded trophies stay. Trophies saved without any condition were never awarded automatically.
  • Rules stored under likes_received or days_registered (other names of reaction score and membership days) now read the real values instead of 0; members who qualify get such a trophy without an alert. Promotion rules under likes_received or register_days read the real values too: such a condition was never met before, so the promotion can start promoting members who meet it.
  • Banned members no longer receive new trophies.
  • When a trophy is created or its rule changes, members who already qualify get it without an alert.
  • At most 100 trophy alerts are sent per run; further trophies of that run come without an alert, and one admin log line records how many.
  • The automatic trophy task runs every 5 minutes instead of every 30, only if its schedule was never changed.
• New user groups and task: Member of the Week and Member of the Month appear in the user group list and the member list's group filter. They only carry the seasonal title banners (off until you turn them on); keep them without permissions, or the group is skipped and its title pauses from the next period. The Cron tasks page lists "Seasonal titles (member of the week / month)" every 15 minutes; it idles while both titles are off.
• Languages: the new texts of 1.9.8 come in English and Turkish. Other languages show new texts in English, and keep their previous wording for reworded ones, until their language packs are updated.

• Kuroxis 1.0.37, Aslitium 1.0.12, Stable 1.1.17 ve Vision 1.0.21 kendi sayfa düzenini taşıyor ve aynı düzeltmeyi bugünkü güncellemesinde alıyor: alt klasördeki panoda temayı da güncelleyin. Diğer temalar çekirdeğin sayfa düzenini kullanıyor.

• Kaynak kipinde ifade ya da karakter eklemek artık uzun bir mesajda metin kutusunu (ve sayfayı) sona kaydırmıyor.
• Bağlantıları çift tırnakla yazılmış içe aktarılmış mesajlar artık düzenlenince bağlantısını kaybetmiyor.

• 64 KB'den fazla metin içeren mesajlar arama dizinine hiçbir uyarı vermeden alınmıyordu; artık ilk 64 KB'leri dizine ekleniyor ve kesinti günlüğe yazılıyor.

• Başarısız bir gönderimden sonra giriş, kayıt, yeni konuşma ve yeni konu formları yazdıklarınızı koruyor (parolalar asla korunmuyor).

• Default teması: sayfa yolunun son öğesi (bulunduğunuz sayfa) açık ve koyu modda daha kolay okunuyor; kendiniz verdiğiniz renk korunur.
• Binlik ayırıcılı kupa ilerleme değerleri ve sayfa numaraları bazı temalarda artık ayırıcının çevresinde fazladan boşlukla görünmüyor.

• Kategori sayfalarında artık kanonik adres ve, yapılandırılmış veri açıksa, yapılandırılmış veri (koleksiyon sayfası ve sayfa yolu) var.
• Üye listesinin kanonik, önceki ve sonraki bağlantıları yalnız sayfa numarasını taşıyor.

• Yönetim → Seçenekler → Güvenlik altındaki Kurtarma Kodu Sayısı alanı kaldırıldı: yedek kodlar her zaman onluk set olarak geldiği için hiçbir şeyi değiştirmiyordu.

• Bir eklentiyi yükseltmek artık kanca noktalarını ve içerik türlerini (yükseltme onları geri getirmiyordu), kurulum günlüğünü ve geçiş geçmişini silmiyor; kaldırmak ya da yükseltmek kanca noktası ve içerik türü listelerinin önbelleğini de temizliyor.
• Panonun yolunda adı "addons" ile biten bir klasör olan kurulumlarda (örneğin /home/addons/forum ya da /home/myaddons/board) yönetim panelinden eklenti kurmak (pazar yerinden, yüklenen arşivden ya da addons/ içindeki bir klasörden) "does not match its directory" hatası veriyordu; artık çalışıyor.
• Eklenti kaldırma onay sayfası artık kaynakların kaldırılacağını söylüyor (İngilizce ve Türkçe; diğer diller paketleriyle). Eklentinin kurulum ya da yükseltme sırasında bildirdiği gereksinim uyarıları artık atılmıyor; yöneticiye gösteriliyor ve hata günlüğüne yazılıyor.

• Paylaşımlı Misafir Sayfa Önbelleği (CDN / LiteSpeed) (Seçenekler → Performans, varsayılan olarak kapalı): misafir tarayıcıları sayfaların kendi kopyasını artık tutmuyor; önceden stil, dil ya da Mobil görünüm / Masaüstü görünüm değiştiren misafir, daha önce açtığı sayfalarda Misafir Sayfa Önbelleği (saniye) süresince (varsayılan 300) eski görünümü görebiliyordu. Bu süre yalnız CDN ya da sunucu önbelleği için geçerli; tarayıcı her sayfada yeniden soruyor. Seçeneği kapalı panolar etkilenmiyor.

• Üye izinleri artık üye ve forum başına değil, grup bileşimi başına bir kez derlenip paylaşılıyor (kişisel izinler ayrı kopya alıyor). Güncelleme izin önbelleğini boşaltır; sonraki ilk dakikalarda izinler, eskisinin çok küçük bir maliyetiyle yeniden hazırlanır.
• Yoğun panolar: bir üyenin çoğu sayfa görüntülemesi artık birbirinin oturum kilidini beklemiyor; konu sayfası yer imi ve tepki ayrıntılarını mesaj başına bir istek yerine iki istekte alıyor; çerezsiz misafirler her istekte oturum satırı oluşturmuyor.
• Pano istatistikleri, Son Mesajlar ve Son etkinlikler bileşenleri, benzer konular, kupa adları, üye listesindeki çözüm sayıları, gündem listeleri ve etiket sayfaları çok daha az veritabanı satırı okuyor.
• Web cron (ziyaretçi trafiğiyle çalışan zamanlanmış görevler) bir üyenin isteğinden en çok 6 saniye alıyor (önceden 20); son 10 dakikada sunucu cron görevi çalıştıysa sayfa görüntülemeleri görev çalıştırmıyor, web cron'un iki yolu da aynı dakikada birlikte parti çalıştırmıyor. Doğrudan çağrılan /cron.php 20 saniyesini koruyor.
• Yavaş bağlantılarda ikonlar: çekirdek sayfa düzeni ve Default teması ikon yazı tipini (Font Awesome solid) sayfanın en başında istiyor, böylece ikonlar sayfa ilk görünmeden önce geliyor; kendi sayfa düzenini getiren temalar etkilenmiyor.
• Otomatik kupalar artık her çalışmada tüm üyeleri denetlemiyor: çalışma önceki çalışmadan beri görülen üyelere bakar, haftada bir sessiz tam denetim yapılır, web'den başlayan çalışma (web cron ya da Ödül Döngüsünü Çalıştır) 3 saniyede durup sonra devam eder, terfiler üyeleri topluca okur. Ödül Döngüsünü Çalıştır, başka bir döngü çalışıyorsa bunu bildirir.
• Cron görevleri (komut satırı ya da HTTP üzerinden /cron.php) ve diğer konsol komutları artık her çalışmada boş bir misafir oturum satırı bırakmıyor (dakikada bir cron ile günde yaklaşık 1.440 satır); /cron.php artık çerez göndermiyor.

Güncellemeden sonra

• Büyük panolarda yönetim sayfalarındaki şeridi (ya da php bin/raxboard schema:jobs --status) kontrol edin; sunucu cron görevi yoksa dizin işlerini şeritteki Şimdi çalıştır ile bitirin; bu düğme başarısız bir işi de (kırmızı görünür, ayrıntısı yönetici günlüğünde) yeniden dener.

• Etkilenen mesajlar panonun arama motoru üzerinden, php bin/raxboard search:reindex ile aynı yolla metinlerinden yeniden dizine ekleniyor: küçük panolarda güncelleme sırasında, daha büyüklerinde arka planda.

• Panonun sayfalarını önbelleğe alan Cloudflare ya da başka bir CDN arkasındaysanız (örneğin Seçenekler → Performans altındaki Paylaşımlı Misafir Sayfa Önbelleği (CDN / LiteSpeed) ya da bir "Cache Everything" kuralıyla): forum_session ya da rax_remember çerezini taşıyan her istekte önbelleği atlayın; Cloudflare'de Bypass cache ayarlı bir Cache Rule kullanın, kuralda yalnız forum_session varsa rax_remember'ı da ekleyin. Aksi hâlde "beni hatırla" ile giriş yapmış, oturumu sona ermiş bir üyeye önbellekteki misafir sayfası gösterilebilir ve oradan gönderdiği ilk form bir kez reddedilebilir. /csrf-token adresini de asla önbelleğe almayın.
• Paylaşımlı misafir sayfa önbelleği: seçeneği yalnız bir CDN ya da LiteSpeed sunucu önbelleği arkasında açık tutun: misafir tarayıcıları sayfaları artık yeniden kullanmıyor, böyle bir önbellek yoksa her misafir görüntülemesini pano kendisi oluşturur. Cloudflare'de tarayıcı önbellek süresini panoya bırakın (Browser Cache TTL: "Respect Existing Headers"; önbellek kuralındaki Browser TTL: "Respect origin"); yoksa stil ya da dil değişince eski sayfalar geri gelir.

• Varsayılan harf avatarları /data/avatars/default/… altındaki statik adreslerden yükleniyor (eski /avatars/default/… adresleri çalışmaya devam ediyor); panonun önündeki avatar kurallarınıza (CDN ya da güvenlik duvarı) yeni yolu ekleyin. Aynı rengin daha koyu tonu beyaz harfi her renkte okunur kılıyor; her üye renk ailesinde kalıyor, kendi avatar renklerini belirleyen temalar onları koruyor.
• Anlık bildirim iletişim adresi: tarayıcıların anlık bildirim servislerine Push İletişim E-postası (Seçenekler → Anlık Bildirimler), o boşsa artık İletişim e-posta adresi (Seçenekler → Genel) gönderiliyor; ikisi de boşsa Forum URL'si.
• Kullanılmayan ayarlar kaldırıldı: anket sınırı alanının yanı sıra hiçbir yerin okumadığı gizli ayarlar siliniyor (eski pano geneli tarih ve saat biçimleri, avatar boyutları, hiç bağlanmamış Discord, Slack ve Telegram alanları), bu yüzden hiçbir şey değişmez; tarihler her dilin biçimini izler (Yönetim → Diller). Eski pano geneli favicon adresi, değeri stillerinize taşınınca kalkıyor.
• Son Mesajlar ve Son etkinlikler bileşenleri: panonun yalnız bir bölümünü okuyabilen ve okuyabildiği forumlarda 20.000'den fazla mesaj bulunan ziyaretçi için bileşen, panonun en yeni mesajlarının yalnız yaklaşık 30 gün gerisine bakıyor, bu yüzden liste kısalabilir; daha küçük kapsamlar eskisi gibi dolduruluyor.

Trade Points 1.3.11

• Messages use the board's standard alert box. The success and error messages on the Trade Points pages (the overview, a member's trade page, the feedback form, your transactions and the new transaction form) are now drawn by the board's own alert component. They look the same as before, and they follow the board's alert design when it changes.
• The feedback selector on a member's trade page works with a strict Content Security Policy. Switching between "Received feedback" and "Given feedback" did nothing under such a policy, because the browser blocked it. The selector now uses the add-on's own script and works with and without the strict policy.
• Admin: in the dashboard's "Latest feedback" list, the arrow between the two members is easier to read in light and dark mode, and the dashboard loads the updated style right after the upgrade instead of a cached copy.

Stories 1.1.4

• Admin: the highlighted menu item and tab are readable. On the Stories admin pages, the current item of the Stories menu, the selected tab above the story list and the count badges inside them showed white text on the bright accent colour.
• On RaxBoard 1.9.8 and later they use the admin's primary button colours, readable in light and dark mode, and the count badges become small pills. On older cores they look as before.

Media Gallery 1.1.2

• Gallery messages use the board's standard alert box. The error lists of the upload, album and media edit forms (for example "Please choose a valid category.") and the notice that an upload is awaiting approval now match the other messages on your board and follow its style in light and dark mode.
• They are also easier to read: the red or blue text of the old box, on a tint of the same colour, was too faint with the default style. The spacing and the compact error list stay as they were.
• Admin: the current and the hovered item of the Media Gallery menu (Dashboard, Categories, Moderation) are readable on RaxBoard 1.9.8 and later, in light and dark mode. On older cores they look as before.

Latest Threads 1.3.28

• Admin: accent-coloured text on the settings page is much easier to read. The slider values, the selected forum and category pills, the "Add item" button and the move buttons on hover used the accent colour as text on a light tint of the same colour.
• On RaxBoard 1.9.8 and later they use the admin's text-safe accent colour, and the pills and hovered move buttons sit on a fainter tint, in light and dark mode. On older cores they look as before.

Special Days Pro 1.2.6

• Deleting a special day asks for confirmation again with a strict Content Security Policy. Under such a policy the browser blocked the question, so the day was deleted without asking. Now Cancel keeps the day and OK deletes it, with and without the strict policy.
• The status badges in the special days list are readable in light mode. LIVE, SCHEDULED and OFF used colours made for the dark admin theme. On RaxBoard 1.9.8 and later LIVE and SCHEDULED use the admin's status colours; OFF is readable in light mode on 1.9.7 as well.
• The admin pages load the updated style right after the upgrade, instead of keeping the previous file for up to a week.

Migrate 1.3.1

• Cleaner messages in imported XenForo warning definitions (core 1.9.8 and later). When Migrate removes XenForo's {content} and {url} placeholders from a definition's message (new in 1.3.0), it now handles more of the markup around them.
• Table cells whose tag has attributes keep their opening tag, so the table keeps its layout. A link written with attributes, the form XenForo uses for pasted links, is removed together with a label such as "See:" instead of staying behind empty.
• Tags of XenForo add-ons (for example alignment tags) count as markup when the message closes them. A numbered item that held only the placeholder is removed whole, and a tag left alone on a removed line goes with it; a real mention elsewhere in the message is not touched.
• Definitions imported with 1.3.0 are not changed by the upgrade. The 1.3.0 run log names every definition whose message was changed, so you can check those under Admin → Warnings → Warning definitions.

Resource Hub 1.2.4

• Voice messages in resource descriptions follow the voice-message permissions on core 1.9.8 and later. A visitor whose user group may not listen to voice messages sees the core's "no permission" placeholder in a description instead of a player; the recording itself was already withheld from them.
• On core 1.9.8 a description is drawn by the board's own BB code renderer for the person viewing it, as forum posts are: smilies show, a mention links only to an existing member, and a hidden block (for example "members only") opens to the viewers it is meant for. Blocks that depend on replies or likes stay locked, as a description belongs to no thread. On older cores descriptions render as before.
• The guest preview of an article no longer breaks the page. Guests see the beginning of an article (a resource without files) and a sign-in prompt. The preview used to be cut in the middle of the HTML; it is now cut between two characters of the text and closes the formatting still open there. It counts text characters only, so guests see a little more text than before.

Kuroxis 1.0.37, Aslitium 1.0.12, Stable 1.1.17 and Kotton 1.0.28

• Edit button on the profile Warnings tab (needs RaxBoard 1.9.8). These four themes bring their own profile page; every warning on its Warnings tab now has the "Edit warning" button, as in the default theme. It shows only to staff with the Edit Issued Warnings permission and opens the same edit window. On 1.9.7 nothing changes, as editing issued warnings comes with 1.9.8.
• Kuroxis, Aslitium, Stable: the messages at the top of the page (for example "saved" or an error) close with the close button or a click on the message, now also with a strict Content Security Policy. A link inside a message no longer closes it, and screen readers can name the close button. Icons appear sooner.
• Kuroxis, Aslitium: the private conversation page works with a strict Content Security Policy, without policy warnings in the browser; the "Leave Conversation" question looks and works as before. Letter avatars (members without a profile picture) use the darker colours of RaxBoard 1.9.8, so the white initials are readable, and every member keeps the same colour family.
• Kuroxis, Aslitium, Stable: on a board installed in a subfolder (for example example.com/forum), notifications, conversations, the online indicator and add-on features work again: the theme's page layout now passes the board's folder to the page scripts (the same fix as in core 1.9.8, which these themes need in their own layout).
• Kuroxis only: in light mode, secondary text is a little darker and easier to read (a "Secondary text" colour you changed is kept). A forum placed at the top level of the forum list, outside any category, now sits in its own card.
• This week's fix is included: if you skipped Kuroxis 1.0.36 or Aslitium 1.0.11, you get it with these versions. On RaxBoard 1.9.8, new messages that arrive while a private conversation is open count as read, also on boards served over plain HTTP and in older browsers.
• Stable's Custom CSS now ships without developer comments (a smaller download, no visible change). If you edited a theme's Custom CSS, your copy is kept, and with it your avatar colours.

Dash 1.0.4, Goliath 1.0.2 and Vision 1.0.21

• Dash 1.0.4 — update it together with the core. RaxBoard 1.9.8 makes the letter-avatar colours one to two shades darker, so that a white letter is readable on every colour. Dash shows these avatars as a soft tint with a coloured letter; 1.0.4 keeps those letters readable in dark mode on 1.9.8. Light mode is unchanged.
• Dash 1.0.4 also: the text of a selected chip in light mode (for example the selected item of an add-on page's sub-menu) is a touch darker; pages no longer jump on boards that show side advertisement columns; and the buttons under a profile header no longer move while icons load.
• Goliath 1.0.2: letter avatars on the forum home page (the welcome banner, thread starters and participants without a picture) use the same darker colours as RaxBoard 1.9.8 with a white letter, readable at 4.9:1 or more in light and dark mode, on 1.9.7 and 1.9.8 alike. The colour dots and coloured icons in the home page's forum list use the same colours, so in dark mode they are a little darker.
• Vision 1.0.21: the same subfolder fix as Kuroxis, Aslitium and Stable above.
• Vision 1.0.21: on a style whose post author layout is Top avatar or Stream, the author statistics (messages, reaction score, points, joined, location, website…) are no longer cut off; a long value continues on the next line. The messages at the top of the page also close with a strict Content Security Policy and have a named close button, icons appear sooner, and the Custom CSS ships without developer comments.

Legacy 1.0.5 and Pamasra 1.0.6

• Legacy 1.0.5: in the message bars at the top of a page, the information icon in dark mode and the warning icon in light mode were too faint. They now read at 3:1 or more, the accessibility minimum for icons, and keep their blue and amber. The same on 1.9.7 and 1.9.8.
• Pamasra 1.0.6: in right-to-left languages (for example Arabic), the buttons at the end of the header (Log In and Register for guests, the account buttons for members) sit against the left edge, as they sit against the right edge in left-to-right languages. On phones this needs RaxBoard 1.9.8.

What this week's six top-avatar updates fix

• Dash 1.0.3: the group banners line up under the name and the title. They started under the avatar, and an image banner could sit in the middle of the row.
• Goliath 1.0.1, Legacy 1.0.4, Wavy 1.0.3: the group banners sit under the name and the title, not beside the name.
• Kalium 1.0.13, Pamasra 1.0.5: the author card reads name, title, then the group banners. A banner used to sit between the name and the title.
• Wavy, Pamasra: unused styles for a last-post prefix the theme never shows are removed (no visible change).

• A credits economy for your board: members earn credits by the rules you set, keep them in wallets, send them to each other, exchange one currency for another and redeem codes.
• Several currencies side by side, each with its own name and rules.
• Free on the Marketplace. Requires RaxBoard core 1.9.7 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer.
• The same features on 1.9.7 and 1.9.8: members see their balance in the user menu and a Credits entry in the account navigation, and can switch push notifications off per Credits alert group. On 1.9.8 the account pages draw that entry themselves; on 1.9.7 Credits adds it in the browser, so there it needs JavaScript (the user-menu link works without it).

Classifieds 1.0.0 — new, free

• A classifieds section for your board: members post listings in a category tree you design, with seven built-in listing types (selling, renting, swaps, services, wanted ads and more) and types of your own.
• Each category has the fields that fit it (11 field types), and the same fields become filters on the browse pages. Photos are resized and stripped of their metadata, and can be watermarked. Moderators approve, reject and move listings from a queue on the board itself.
• Works together with Credits (fees for publishing, renewing and promotion plans) and Trade Points (trade score on the seller card, ratings after a confirmed sale).
• Free on the Marketplace. Requires RaxBoard core 1.9.7 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer with the GD extension.
• On 1.9.8 Classifieds turns on its optional integrations (search, sitemap, reports, privacy, attachments, push notifications and more) by itself; on 1.9.7 it uses its own fallbacks for them.

• Special characters and emoji: on shared hosting the editor's special-character and emoji pickers came up empty; they now load on every host.
• Quoting several posts:
  
  • Quoting several posts in a row with Quote + now leaves a single empty line between the quotes instead of two.
  • Switching the editor between BBCode and rich text no longer makes the next quote land inside an earlier one and damage it; quoting several posts keeps every quote intact.
• Formulas are easier to write and read:
  
  • A [math] formula on a line of its own is now shown large and centred, and [math=inline] keeps one inside the line; [latex] and the new, always-inline [imath] work too.
  • When formula detection in text is on (Options → Editor; off by default, as before), $$…$$ and \[…\] formulas written over several lines are drawn, and \(…\) draws an inline formula; an escaped dollar sign (\$) no longer starts a formula there, so \$$x$$ is not drawn as a display formula, as in TeX.
  • A long formula scrolls sideways in its own box instead of widening the page.
  • The formula button opens an Insert formula dialog with a live preview.
  • Under Options → Editor, below formula detection, administrators can add formula macros, exclude CSS classes and optionally allow $…$ (off by default, so prices such as $5 stay plain text).
  • The dialog's texts are in English and Turkish; other languages show them in English until their language pack is updated.

RaxBoard 1.9.8 build 20261023: second maintenance build

• Template editor: the main layout template could not be saved — the editor reported a false "Unbalanced rax:if" error for any template whose condition contains a slash (such as a URL path). Fixed; templates that saved before are unaffected.
• Removing add-ons: uninstalling an add-on from the admin panel now keeps one recovery snapshot instead of two, and an uninstall refused because another add-on depends on it no longer leaves a snapshot behind. The snapshot records which administrator uninstalled the add-on.
• Restoring add-ons: a snapshot restore no longer reports success when the add-on's files are gone; it now says the files are missing and changes nothing.
• Scheduled tasks: when they are turned off, the board no longer starts background work on visitor requests every minute.
• Image attachments: thumbnails are now saved with a file extension that matches their format; existing thumbnails keep working.
• Offline page and web push notifications: now work on boards installed in a subfolder, and on shared hosting where the web root is the forum folder they are set up correctly again.
• Settings switches: the on/off switches on the account settings and notification preferences pages now show a visible focus ring when reached with the keyboard, in every theme.
• New threads on phones: the header and cards of the create-thread page no longer jump sideways while the page opens, and the editor no longer jumps up once the page has finished loading.

• Sticky headers: on themes whose header partly scrolls away, the notice bar and the editor toolbar now sit right under the visible part of the header instead of leaving a gap.
• Group banners: the default banner colours, the original Administrator and Moderator colours and the staff page's automatic colours now meet WCAG AA contrast, and outlined banners stay readable on light and dark pages.
• Member names in banner colours: where a member's name is written in their banner colour (the first post of an article, the profile heading), it is now blended with the page's text colour so it stays readable in light and dark mode.
• Your own banner colours are kept: only groups still on the original Administrator and Moderator colours are updated, while the softer shine and the blended name colour apply to every banner (templates edited on your board are left as they are).
• Style export: exporting a style now also includes the theme's own phrases that no template names directly, so no text is missing when the style is imported on another board.
• Moderation dialogs: warning, ban, delete, move, feature and quick-edit pop-ups now follow your style's colours, fonts and dark mode, and the thread tools open again on phones.
• Phones: pages no longer jump down a moment after opening on themes with a secondary menu strip under the header, because the strip's space is now reserved before the page first appears.
• Phones: the new thread page now fits 320 px screens without sideways scrolling, and the buttons in its bottom bar move onto a second line when they do not fit side by side.
• New threads on phones: the editor toolbar keeps a single row from the moment the page appears, also on boards that show extra toolbar buttons on phones, so the editor no longer jumps; if the page's scripts fail to load, the row scrolls sideways with a hint at its edge.
• Sort tabs: screen readers now announce which sort tab above a forum's thread list is the current one. If you edited the sort tabs template on your board, your copy is kept as it is and does not get this change.
• Profile widgets: sidebar widgets that you show on member pages now appear once on a profile instead of twice. If you edited the profile template in your own style, your copy is kept as it is and may still show these widgets twice.

RaxBoard 1.9.8 build 20261025: fourth maintenance build

• Thread tags: a thread's tags now show on the thread page, in every theme and on phones; they were saved but never displayed.
• Tag limits on the thread form: the tag field follows the board's limits (tags per thread, tag length) and says why it refuses a tag; when some tags still cannot be saved, the member sees a warning instead of losing them silently. With tags turned off, the field is no longer shown.
• Closed registration: when registration is closed, the board no longer shows the Register button, the welcome banner's sign-up link, the sign-up links on the login page and in the login pop-up, the Register button under threads or the sign-up link in the "My Account" widget. The register pop-up says that registration is currently closed. If you edited these templates on your board, your copies are kept as they are.
• Followers lists: profiles no longer list the reserved guest-posts account (shown as "Guest") or erased members as followers, and the follower and following counts match the lists.
• Warnings in the admin panel:
  
  • Cancelling an issued warning now moves it to a new "Cancelled" tab, where you can restore it or delete it for good (with a confirmation step).
  • An expired warning can be reactivated.
  • The list can be filtered by member, moderator, date and status.
  • Each warning's edit page shows its history.
  • Cancelling takes the warning's points off the member. An automatic ban from warning points is lifted once the remaining points no longer reach a ban level; bans you set by hand are not touched.
  • Deleting a warning definition keeps the warnings that were given with it.
• Colour scheme in Style tweaks: a light, dark or system scheme that a member picks and saves in Style tweaks now applies straight away, even after they used the day/night switch. Pressing the switch afterwards still changes the mode as before.
• Quick Style tweaks panel on Default: on the RaxBoard Default style the quick Style tweaks panel now works like on every other style, so a light or dark mode picked and saved there applies at once even after the day/night switch was used, and only the settings you changed are saved; if you edited the Default style's main layout template on your board, your copy is kept as it is.
• Profile custom fields: the moderators' button for editing a member's custom fields on the profile's About tab opens its dialog again. If you edited the profile template in your own style, your copy is kept as it is.
• Easier taps on phones: the Home and parent links in the breadcrumb trail, the "⋯" button on profiles and the "Powered by" link have larger touch areas; nothing on the page moves.
• Profile action bar on phones: in themes that pin the profile actions to the bottom of the screen (Default, Vision), the end of the page, including the copyright line, no longer disappears under the bar.
• Thread moderation dialogs on phones: in themes with the flat thread header (Vision, Stable, Main Theme), the Feature, Delete and Move dialogs show their button labels again; Cancel was empty and the actions showed only an icon.
• Member counts: the member list and the online page now say "1 message", "1 member", "1 guest" and so on instead of using the plural for every number, in English and in the bundled translations.
• Words split at line ends: in posts pasted with non-breaking spaces in place of ordinary spaces, words were split mid-word at line ends; they now wrap between words, in existing posts too, while typographic spacing (French punctuation, number groups), indentation, code blocks and links stay as written.
• Club chat reactions: the reaction menu on chat messages opens at its full width instead of one emoji per row and stays inside the chat window on every screen size, opening downwards on the first messages; a second click or Escape closes it, and on touch screens the reaction button is always visible.
• Marketplace update notices: the admin notice that an installed add-on, theme or language pack has an update is now refreshed every 30 minutes instead of every 6 hours, so it shows up much sooner after a release.
• Personal time zone: members can now choose their own time zone in Settings → Preferences, and dates and times on forum pages (including "Today" / "Yesterday" and last seen) follow it; guests and the admin area keep the board's time zone.
• Tag lists: saving a thread no longer makes the board recalculate its tag ranking unless the thread's tags or visibility changed, so pages that show tag lists stay fast on busy boards.
• Tag counts: editing a thread to remove a tag whose usage count had dropped to zero no longer fails with a server error.

Kayıt penceresi, kaydın şu an kapalı olduğunu söylüyor. Bu şablonları panonuzda düzenlediyseniz kopyalarınız olduğu gibi korunur.
• Takipçi listeleri: profiller artık misafir gönderileri için ayrılmış hesabı ("Guest") ya da silinmiş (anonimleştirilmiş) üyeleri takipçi olarak listelemiyor; takipçi ve takip edilen sayıları artık listelerle aynı.

• Kulüp sohbeti tepkileri: sohbet mesajlarındaki tepki menüsü artık her satıra tek emoji yerine tam genişlikte açılıyor ve her ekran boyutunda sohbet penceresinin içinde kalıyor, ilk mesajlarda aşağı doğru açılıyor; ikinci tıklama ya da Escape menüyü kapatıyor, dokunmatik ekranlarda tepki düğmesi her zaman görünüyor.
• Pazar yeri güncelleme bildirimleri: kurulu bir eklenti, tema ya da dil paketi için güncelleme olduğunu bildiren yönetici uyarısı artık 6 saatte bir değil 30 dakikada bir yenileniyor; böylece yayından çok daha kısa süre sonra görünüyor.
• Kişisel saat dilimi: üyeler artık Ayarlar → Tercihler'de kendi saat dilimlerini seçebiliyor; forum sayfalarındaki tarih ve saatler ("Bugün" / "Dün" ve son görülme dahil) bu dilime göre gösteriliyor. Misafirler ve yönetim paneli panonun saat dilimini kullanmaya devam ediyor.
