RaxBoard 1.9.8 build 20261028: seventh maintenance build
A seventh maintenance build of 1.9.8 is out, with security fixes. It replaces build 20261027 and contains every fix of builds 20261026 and 20261027 too. The version stays 1.9.8; update from
Admin → Updates as usual — boards on any earlier 1.9.8 build are offered this build. Nothing to do after the update.
- Paid upgrades (security): a member could start a payment for an upgrade they already have, or for one that an upgrade they hold rules out, by sending the payment form directly. The payment step now checks the same rules as the Buy button and refuses a free upgrade there (the Buy button grants it). A payment method whose provider is no longer installed (for example after its add-on was removed) is no longer offered.
- License key (security): the update check sends your license key in a request header instead of the web address, so the key no longer ends up in the logs of the update server or of proxies on the way. If an update server does not read the header yet, the board asks once more the old way, so update checks keep working.
- Error messages you can act on: when a photo upload or another action on a page is refused, the page now shows the real reason instead of a general "could not be uploaded": an out-of-date page ("refresh the page and try again"), a file larger than the server accepts (with the limit), or an unexpected server error. A member whose session has run out is told to log in again. Add-ons that show the server's message, such as Classifieds, show it too without an update of their own.
- Uploads on hosts without PHP's fileinfo extension: where PHP runs without fileinfo (or has it disabled), image attachments upload again instead of failing with a server error. Other file types still need fileinfo and are refused as before.
- Frozen templates stay as they are: the one-click updater no longer overwrites a template you froze (template editor → Freeze); the PHP error log names the templates it kept. Templates that are not frozen are updated as before.
- Code blocks: line numbers stay beside their lines. A long line no longer wraps (on phones and in narrow posts it scrolls inside the block) and every number has the height of its line, so the numbers no longer drift.
- Relative addresses on every page: links and images with a relative address in the navigation menu, in custom BB codes and in custom user titles now work on every page, not only on the home page (the same fix as for ad code in the previous build). A custom BB code that builds a link from its option can no longer turn that link into a script address; it stays a page address on your board.
- Right-to-left names in the forum list: the verified badge of the last poster stays after the name, on the side the page reads to; a name written in the other direction no longer pulls the badge to the wrong side.
- Light mode in themes: a theme's own focus ring on form fields and its own yellow text colour now show, instead of the core's pale blue ring and fixed yellow overriding them.
- Upgrades and add-ons: add-ons can now offer their own ways to pay for an upgrade, with a confirmation step before an instant payment. Granting, revoking and the expiry of an upgrade are passed to add-ons as they happen, so Credits 1.0.3 now gives its upgrade bonus at once and takes it back when an admin revokes the upgrade.
- Thread start date: the date next to "Started by" in the thread header shows again in every language (it was missing in several languages). In some styles it now shows the day without the time, for example "Oct 19, 2026".
- Languages: phrases can now carry every plural form a language needs (Russian four, Arabic six), so counts such as "2 replies" read correctly in those languages; the Russian and Arabic reply and view counters in the thread header are updated where they were not edited.
- German: dates such as the join date on member cards and profiles now carry the dot after the day ("15. Okt. 2025").
- Admin dashboard: the Recent users and Recent activity lists show dates in your language and time zone instead of the raw "2026-10-23 18:47:14" form.
- Admin: the word under the RaxBoard logo in the admin panel now follows your language instead of always reading "ADMIN".
- Admin: sliders (for example the trending period) show their track again, not only the handle. Installer: the Continue button on the requirements step no longer sits flush against the list above it.
- FAQ: changes saved in Admin → FAQ are recorded in the admin log again.
- Add-ons: uninstalling an add-on now also removes the widgets it had placed, so no empty widget entries are left behind.
- Theme developers: a theme can now show its own name and description for a style property in Admin → Style properties (a new opt-in setting in the theme's property list); other themes are unchanged.
- Updating: if the board cannot save a backup copy of a template it is about to update, it now leaves that template unchanged, lists it in the update log and finishes the rest of the update instead of stopping.
- Updating: when a file of the update is missing (an incomplete upload), the profile page templates are left as they were instead of being switched to a version that needs the missing file.
This build also contains every fix of the sixth (20261027) and fifth (20261026) builds:
- Event replies: on an event page every answer was saved as "Going" and the page said "You're going", whichever button was pressed. The page script disabled the three buttons before it read the form, and a disabled button is left out of the form data, so the server got no answer and used its default. The clicked answer is now sent explicitly, and the server refuses a missing or unknown answer instead of saving "Going".
- Profile followers, following and visitors:
- The Following, Followers and Profile views tabs now list members as rows: avatar with an online dot (each member's online-status setting is respected), name and title, message count and join month, and a Follow / Following button you can use right there. The followers card on the side shows five members and "View all", and an empty tab says what will appear there. On phones the title and join date move to a new line instead of being cut off.
- Members in these lists look the same as everywhere else on the board, with their group colour, their title and the banned style; the profile header uses the same name colour.
- The stat labels read correctly for one ("1 Follower", "1 visit"), the follower and following tabs show the full counts, the visitor total matches the list, links in the followers card open the right profile, and the profile handle matches the member list.
- Visitors show the day they came. Staff, the visitor themselves and the profile owner see the exact time; the owner only for visitors who show their online status.
- Following is safer: following a member who does not exist now answers "not found" instead of "followed", banned and unconfirmed members can no longer be followed (the Follow button is not shown for them), and following many members in a burst is slowed down. A member gets at most one "followed you" alert a day from the same person, however often they follow and unfollow; unfollowing always works.
- Online status on posts: members with an active session show as online on their posts again; on MySQL servers everyone was shown as offline. A member working in the admin panel also counts as online, and banned or unconfirmed members are never shown as online, as in the online members list.
- Counts read right for one: the thread list, the thread header and the reaction line now say "1 Reply", "1 View", "1 Answer", "1 Comment" and "Ada and 1 other" instead of the plural; the member list's subtitle says "1 member" and "1 member online now". Styles that ship their own thread list or thread header keep the plural until they are updated.
- Tags:
- Tags keep their vowel signs and other accent marks in every script (Hindi, Thai, Arabic and more). An accented letter typed or pasted in its decomposed form is the same tag as the usual one, a Greek word keeps its final ς, and the tag field shows a tag exactly as it will be saved. Tags saved earlier without their marks stay as they are; an administrator can merge them in Admin → Tags.
- A very long tag field no longer slows the server down when a thread is saved.
- The automatic tags button suggests only title words the board accepts as tags. The field keeps saying why it refused a tag after other tags are added or one is removed, and Tab no longer gets stuck on a refused tag.
- When a thread is saved twice at the same moment, its tags are no longer counted twice (or down twice), so tag counts and the tag cloud stay accurate.
- Moderators can edit custom fields in every style: in styles that ship their own profile page (Kuroxis, Stable, Kotton, Aslitium) the moderator's "Edit" button under Additional information did nothing, and installing or updating such a style broke it again. The board now adds the edit window itself whenever the button is there without it, and never a second copy; saving sends one request.
- Widgets on new boards: a newly installed board shows its sidebar widgets on the home page only, so threads and profiles open at full width; a widget added in Admin → Widgets also starts on the home page. Widgets that an add-on places when it is first installed start on the home page too, unless the add-on chooses its pages; upgrading or reinstalling an add-on keeps the widgets it already placed. Existing boards keep every widget exactly as it is. To show a widget on other pages, tick them under Admin → Widgets → Display on pages.
- Ads on every page: a browser resolves a relative address against the page it is on, so an ad with
<img src="data/uploads/ads/banner.png"> loaded on the home page and the member list but broke under /forums/… and /threads/…, in every theme. Relative addresses in ad code, HTML Block widgets, notices and pinned alerts now point at the board (with its folder on a subfolder install): image and link addresses, srcset lists, lazy-load attributes and url() in styles. Absolute addresses, scripts and ad-network placeholders are left exactly as written, the stored ad code is not changed, and the ad preview shows the same result. - Dates:
- Dates in widgets and lists follow your language's order (for example "15 Eki 2026" in Turkish). Arabic pages show dates with the same digits as other numbers (Latin digits).
- On boards whose language is not English, dates and times follow the board's time zone exactly on every server; on hosts with older date libraries they could show an hour early in winter.
- Right-to-left languages:
- Titles, names and messages written in another language keep their own direction in the Default theme, and in thread lists and posts on every theme: on an Arabic board an English thread title is no longer cut at its start and its full stop stays at the end (and the other way round). Themes with their own forum list templates get this in their next update.
- The admin panel mirrors fully: the menu sits on the right.
- Icon spacing, the member list on phones, the pagination buttons, the online dot on avatars and the trophy lists follow the reading direction.
- Admin dashboard and admin log: they show what happened in your language ("Group permissions saved") instead of internal codes.
- Marketplace filters: Admin → Marketplace can be filtered by publisher (RaxBoard or a developer), by publisher type (official, independent developer, community) and by category, and sorted by name (A–Z) or by most recently updated. Filters combine with the tabs, the Installed / Updates chips and the search, and stay in the page address, so a filtered list can be bookmarked. Each item names its publisher; clicking the name lists everything that publisher has released. Thanks to a community member for suggesting developer filters.
- Closed registration: with registration closed, the registration page says "Registration Closed" (as the sign-up window does) instead of "Permission Required".
- Banned members in notifications: notifications from a banned member show the banned mark in the notification menu, as everywhere else.
- Easier to read: the "Powered by RaxBoard" line on light and dark themes (a theme can set its colour), the club type labels (Public, Closed, Private) in light and dark mode, and the quick colours in the thread prefix editor, which now all read well with white text; a new prefix starts in a readable blue and your existing prefixes keep their colours.
- Category headings: the forum count next to a long category description no longer splits over two lines.
- Navigation icons: a navigation entry with a brand or regular icon (for example a Discord icon) no longer shows an empty icon in themes that draw their menu with inline icons.
- Style tweaks page: a colour scheme chosen while the page was still loading is applied when you save.
- Upgrade log: the update names any page layout whose Style tweaks drawer runs its own older copy of the drawer code (and so misses the latest drawer fixes), with how to fix it.
- For theme authors: the board statistics include the newest member's id next to the name, so a theme can link "Newest member" to the profile.
If you edited one of the changed templates in your own style, your copy is kept as it is. If the update cannot write its safety copy of a template, that template is left unchanged and the update log says so.
The new texts come in English, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Spanish, French, German, Russian and Arabic; other installed languages show them in English until their language pack is updated.
If you have not updated to 1.9.8 yet, update straight to this build; everything above in this thread applies.
RaxBoard 1.9.8 derleme 20261028: yedinci bakım derlemesi

Yönetim → Güncellemeler'den güncelleyin — daha önceki her 1.9.8 derlemesindeki panolara bu derleme sunuluyor. Güncellemeden sonra yapılacak bir şey yok.
- Ücretli yükseltmeler (güvenlik): bir üye ödeme formunu doğrudan göndererek zaten sahip olduğu bir yükseltme ya da sahip olduğu bir yükseltmenin engellediği bir yükseltme için ödeme başlatabiliyordu. Ödeme adımı artık Satın al düğmesiyle aynı kuralları denetliyor ve ücretsiz bir yükseltmeyi orada reddediyor (onu Satın al düğmesi veriyor). Sağlayıcısı artık kurulu olmayan bir ödeme yöntemi (örneğin eklentisi kaldırıldıktan sonra) artık sunulmuyor.
- Lisans anahtarı (güvenlik): güncelleme denetimi lisans anahtarınızı web adresinin içinde değil, istek başlığında gönderiyor; böylece anahtar güncelleme sunucusunun ya da aradaki vekil sunucuların günlüklerine düşmüyor. Başlığı henüz okumayan bir güncelleme sunucusunda pano bir kez eski yolla soruyor; güncelleme denetimi çalışmaya devam ediyor.
- Anlaşılır hata mesajları: fotoğraf yükleme ya da sayfadaki başka bir işlem reddedildiğinde sayfa artık genel bir "yüklenemedi" metni yerine gerçek nedeni gösteriyor: güncelliğini yitirmiş sayfa ("sayfayı yenileyip tekrar deneyin"), sunucunun kabul ettiğinden büyük dosya (sınırıyla birlikte) ya da beklenmeyen bir sunucu hatası. Oturumu sona ermiş bir üyeye yeniden giriş yapması söyleniyor. Sunucunun mesajını gösteren eklentiler (Classifieds gibi) kendi güncellemeleri olmadan da bunu gösteriyor.
- PHP fileinfo eklentisi olmayan sunucularda yüklemeler: PHP'nin fileinfo olmadan çalıştığı (ya da onun kapatıldığı) sunucularda görsel ekler sunucu hatası vermek yerine yeniden yükleniyor. Diğer dosya türleri hâlâ fileinfo gerektiriyor ve eskisi gibi reddediliyor.
- Dondurulmuş şablonlar olduğu gibi kalıyor: tek tıkla güncelleme, dondurduğunuz bir şablonun (şablon düzenleyici → Dondur) üzerine artık yazmıyor; PHP hata günlüğü korunan şablonları adlarıyla yazıyor. Dondurulmamış şablonlar eskisi gibi güncelleniyor.
- Kod blokları: satır numaraları satırlarının yanında kalıyor. Uzun satır artık sarılmıyor (telefonda ve dar gönderilerde blok içinde yana kayıyor) ve her numara satırıyla aynı yükseklikte; numaralar artık kaymıyor.
- Her sayfada göreli adresler: gezinme menüsünde, özel BB kodlarında ve özel kullanıcı unvanlarında göreli adresli bağlantılar ve görseller artık yalnız ana sayfada değil, her sayfada çalışıyor (önceki derlemedeki reklam kodu düzeltmesinin aynısı). Bağlantısını seçeneğinden kuran özel bir BB kodu o bağlantıyı artık bir betik adresine çeviremiyor; adres panonuzdaki bir sayfa adresi olarak kalıyor.
- Forum listesinde ters yönlü adlar: son yazanın doğrulanmış rozeti adın arkasında, sayfanın okuma yönündeki tarafta kalıyor; diğer yönde yazılmış bir ad rozeti artık yanlış tarafa çekmiyor.
- Temalarda açık mod: form alanlarında temanın kendi odak halkası ve kendi sarı metin rengi görünüyor; çekirdeğin soluk mavi halkası ve sabit sarısı artık bunları ezmiyor.
- Yükseltmeler ve eklentiler: eklentiler artık bir yükseltme için kendi ödeme yollarını sunabiliyor; anında ödemeden önce bir onay adımı var. Yükseltmenin verilmesi, geri alınması ve süresinin dolması eklentilere anında iletiliyor; böylece Credits 1.0.3 yükseltme bonusunu hemen veriyor ve yönetici yükseltmeyi geri aldığında bonusu geri alıyor.
- Konu başlangıç tarihi: konu başlığında "Başlatan"ın yanındaki tarih her dilde yeniden görünüyor (birkaç dilde görünmüyordu). Bazı stillerde artık saatsiz gün olarak görünüyor, örneğin "19 Eki 2026".

- Güncelleme: pano, güncelleyeceği bir şablonun yedeğini kaydedemezse artık o şablonu olduğu gibi bırakıyor, güncelleme günlüğünde listeliyor ve güncellemenin geri kalanını durmadan tamamlıyor.
- Güncelleme: güncellemenin bir dosyası eksikse (yarım kalmış yükleme), profil sayfası şablonları eksik dosyaya ihtiyaç duyan sürüme geçirilmiyor, olduğu gibi kalıyor.
Bu derleme altıncı (20261027) ve beşinci (20261026) derlemelerin bütün düzeltmelerini de içeriyor:
- Etkinlik yanıtları: etkinlik sayfasında "Belki" ve "Katılamıyorum" yeniden seçildiği gibi kaydediliyor; her yanıt "Katılıyorum" olarak kaydediliyor ve sayfa "Katılıyorsunuz" diyordu. Sunucuya ulaşmayan bir yanıt artık "Katılıyorum" sayılmıyor, reddediliyor.
- Profilde takipçiler, takip edilenler ve ziyaretçiler:
- Takip edilenler, Takipçiler ve Profil ziyaretleri sekmeleri üyeleri artık satır satır gösteriyor: çevrimiçi noktalı avatar (her üyenin çevrimiçi durumu ayarına uyar), ad ve unvan, mesaj sayısı ve katılım ayı ile oradan kullanılabilen Takip et / Takip ediliyor düğmesi. Yandaki takipçiler kartı beş üyeyi ve "Tümünü gör" bağlantısını gösteriyor; boş bir sekme orada neyin görüneceğini söylüyor. Telefonda unvan ve katılım tarihi kesilmek yerine alt satıra geçiyor.
- Bu listelerdeki üyeler forumun her yerindeki gibi görünüyor: grup rengi, unvanı ve yasaklı görünümüyle; profil başlığındaki ad rengi de aynı kurala uyuyor.
- İstatistik etiketleri tekil sayıda doğru okunuyor ("1 takipçi", "1 ziyaret"), takipçi ve takip edilen sekmeleri tam sayıyı gösteriyor, ziyaretçi toplamı listeyle uyuşuyor, takipçi kartındaki bağlantılar doğru profili açıyor ve profil tutamacı üye listesindekiyle aynı.
- Ziyaretçilerde geldikleri gün yazıyor. Tam saati yöneticiler, ziyaretçinin kendisi ve profil sahibi görüyor; profil sahibi yalnız çevrimiçi durumunu gösteren ziyaretçilerde.
- Takip etmek daha güvenli: var olmayan bir üyeyi takip etmek artık "takip edildi" yerine "bulunamadı" yanıtı veriyor, yasaklı ve onaylanmamış üyeler takip edilemiyor (onlarda Takip et düğmesi görünmüyor), art arda çok sayıda üyeyi takip etmek yavaşlatılıyor. Bir üye aynı kişiden, ne kadar takip edip bıraksa da, günde en fazla bir "seni takip etti" bildirimi alıyor; takibi bırakmak her zaman çalışıyor.
- Mesajlarda çevrimiçi durumu: etkin oturumu olan üyeler mesajlarında yeniden çevrimiçi görünüyor; MySQL sunucularında herkes çevrimdışı görünüyordu. Yönetim panelinde çalışan üye de çevrimiçi sayılıyor; yasaklı ya da onaylanmamış üyeler, çevrimiçi üye listesindeki gibi, hiçbir zaman çevrimiçi görünmüyor.
- Sayılar tekilde doğru okunuyor: konu listesi, konu başlığı ve tepki satırı sayı 1 olduğunda artık tekil biçimi kullanıyor (İngilizcede "1 Reply", "1 View", "1 Answer", "1 Comment", "Ada and 1 other"); üye listesinin alt başlığı "1 üye" ve "1 üye çevrimiçi" diyor. Kendi konu listesi ya da başlığı olan stiller güncellenene kadar çoğul biçimde kalıyor.
- Etiketler:
- Etiketler her yazı sisteminde ünlü işaretlerini ve diğer aksan işaretlerini koruyor (Hintçe, Tayca, Arapça ve diğerleri). Ayrışık biçimde yazılan ya da yapıştırılan aksanlı bir harf olağan biçimiyle aynı etiket sayılıyor, Yunanca sözcükler son ς harfini koruyor ve etiket alanı bir etiketi kaydedileceği biçimde gösteriyor. Daha önce işaretleri düşmüş olarak kaydedilen etiketler olduğu gibi kalıyor; yönetici bunları Yönetim → Etiketler bölümünden birleştirebilir.
- Çok uzun bir etiket alanı, konu kaydedilirken sunucuyu artık yavaşlatmıyor.
- Otomatik etiket düğmesi yalnız forumun etiket olarak kabul ettiği başlık sözcüklerini öneriyor. Alan, bir etiketi neden kabul etmediğini başka etiketler eklendikten ya da biri silindikten sonra da söylüyor; kabul etmediği bir etikette Tab tuşu artık takılı kalmıyor.
- Bir konu aynı anda iki kez kaydedildiğinde etiketleri artık iki kez sayılmıyor (ya da iki kez düşülmüyor); etiket sayıları ve etiket bulutu doğru kalıyor.
- Moderatörler her stilde özel alanları düzenleyebiliyor: kendi profil sayfasını taşıyan stillerde (Kuroxis, Stable, Kotton, Aslitium) Ek bilgiler altındaki moderatör "Düzenle" düğmesi işe yaramıyordu; böyle bir stili kurmak ya da güncellemek onu yeniden bozuyordu. Forum artık düğme varken düzenleme penceresi yoksa pencereyi kendisi ekliyor, asla ikinci kopyasını eklemiyor; kaydetmek tek istek gönderiyor.
- Yeni forumlarda widget'lar: yeni kurulan bir forum yan sütun widget'larını yalnız ana sayfada gösteriyor; konular ve profiller tam genişlikte açılıyor. Yönetim → Widget'lar bölümünde eklenen yeni bir widget da ana sayfayla başlıyor. Bir eklenti ilk kez kurulurken yerleştirdiği widget'lar da, eklenti sayfa seçmemişse, ana sayfayla başlıyor; eklentiyi yükseltmek ya da yeniden kurmak yerleştirdiği widget'lara dokunmuyor. Mevcut forumlarda hiçbir widget değişmiyor. Bir widget'ı başka sayfalarda göstermek için Yönetim → Widget'lar → Gösterileceği sayfalar bölümünden işaretleyin.
- Reklamlar her sayfada: görseli ya da bağlantısı göreli adresle yazılmış (ör.

- Widget ve listelerdeki tarihler dilinizin sırasıyla görünüyor (örneğin "15 Eki 2026"). Arapça sayfalarda tarihler diğer sayılarla aynı rakamlarla (Latin rakam) görünüyor.
- Dili İngilizce olmayan forumlarda tarih ve saatler artık her sunucuda forumun saat dilimini tam olarak izliyor; eski tarih kütüphanesi olan sunucularda kışın bir saat erken görünebiliyordu.
- Sağdan sola diller:
- Başka bir dilde yazılmış başlık, ad ve mesajlar Default temada, ayrıca her temada konu listelerinde ve mesajlarda kendi yönünü koruyor: Arapça bir panoda İngilizce bir konu başlığı baştan kırpılmıyor, noktası sonda kalıyor (tersi de). Kendi forum listesi şablonları olan temalar bunu sonraki güncellemelerinde alacak.
- Yönetim paneli tamamen aynalanıyor: menü sağda duruyor.
- İkon boşlukları, telefondaki üye listesi, sayfalama düğmeleri, avatarlardaki çevrimiçi noktası ve kupa listeleri okuma yönünü izliyor.

- Kapalı kayıt: kayıt kapalıyken kayıt sayfası "İzin Gerekli" yerine (kayıt penceresindeki gibi) "Kayıt Kapalı" diyor.
- Bildirimlerde yasaklı üyeler: yasaklı bir üyeden gelen bildirimler, her yerde olduğu gibi bildirim menüsünde de yasaklı işaretiyle görünüyor.
- Daha rahat okunuyor: açık ve koyu temalarda "Powered by RaxBoard" satırı (tema rengini ayarlayabilir), açık ve koyu modda kulüp türü etiketleri (Herkese Açık, Kapalı, Özel) ve konu öneki düzenleyicisindeki hızlı renkler; hepsi beyaz yazıyla rahat okunuyor. Yeni bir önek okunaklı bir mavi ile başlıyor, mevcut önekleriniz renklerini koruyor.
- Kategori başlıkları: uzun bir kategori açıklamasının yanındaki forum sayısı artık iki satıra bölünmüyor.
- Menü ikonları: marka ya da regular ikonlu bir menü öğesi (örneğin Discord ikonu), menüyü satır içi ikonlarla çizen temalarda artık boş ikon göstermiyor.
- Stil ayarları sayfası: sayfa daha yüklenirken seçilen renk düzeni kaydedince uygulanıyor.
- Güncelleme günlüğü: güncelleme, Stil ayarları çekmecesi çekmece kodunun kendi eski kopyasını çalıştıran (son düzeltmeleri almayan) sayfa düzenlerini adıyla ve nasıl düzeltileceğiyle bildiriyor.
- Tema yazarları için: forum istatistikleri en yeni üyenin adının yanında kimliğini de veriyor; tema "En yeni üye" adını profile bağlantı yapabilir.
Değişen şablonlardan birini kendi stilinizde düzenlediyseniz kopyanız olduğu gibi korunuyor. Güncelleme bir şablonun güvenlik kopyasını yazamazsa o şablon değişmeden kalıyor ve güncelleme günlüğü bunu söylüyor.
Yeni metinler İngilizce, Türkçe, Azerbaycanca, İspanyolca, Fransızca, Almanca, Rusça ve Arapça geliyor; kurulu diğer diller bunları dil paketleri güncellenene kadar İngilizce görüyor.
