What's new
# RaxBoard Resource Hub 1.2.0
Requires RaxBoard core 1.9.1 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer. Upgrade in place; the upgrade adds one table for mention bookkeeping and changes no existing data. Includes the unpublished 1.1.15. Mentions and the news-feed/report-preview rule need core 1.9.7; everything else works on 1.9.6.

### New
- **Mentions** in resource descriptions, update posts, reviews and author responses notify the member, with a link to the resource, update or review — only members who can open the resource. Blocks, notification settings and the board's mention limits apply.
- A pending resource notifies once, when approved. Edits notify only newly mentioned members; nobody is notified twice for the same text.
- Anonymous reviews never send mention notifications.
- A watcher who is also mentioned gets one notification (the mention) instead of two; if the mention is not delivered, the watcher notification is sent as before.
- Deleting or unapproving the content removes its mention notifications; moving a resource to a category a mentioned member cannot open removes that member's notification.

- **Phones and tablets:** the resource list comes before the My hub and Categories panels; rows are compact (icon left, one small stats line, about a quarter shorter) and line up like a thread post; custom-field chips that do not fit are hidden whole; moderator checkboxes and the bulk bar are compact.
### Security
- **Per-category view permissions apply everywhere** (category page, featured, search, author pages, bookmarks, watched items, sidebar, widgets, RSS, API, forms). Hidden categories and their resources no longer appear, not even in list totals or page counts (the Resource Statistics widget still counts the whole board); watchers are alerted only when they may open the resource. The gap existed since 1.1.0, including the published 1.1.14.
- **Editing a resource can no longer move it into a category the member may not use** (no add permission, no view permission, type not allowed, or skipping the approval queue); staff with "edit any resource" move as before. The gap existed in the published 1.1.14.
- **Resource lists respect the "View resources" permission.** Default permissions are unchanged.
- **Deleting an update is bound to its resource**; an editor of one resource could delete updates of any other.
- **Versions and updates follow the resource page's visibility**, including downloads and attachments.
- **Version downloads ask for the licence** like the main download and are counted.
- **Author responses** are limited to the resource owner, team members with the reply permission and moderators.
- **Reviews, review votes and reports** follow the review form's rules and need a review the member can see; reporting needs the core "Report content" permission.
- **Widgets and the REST API** follow the resource page's visibility. `GET /api/v1/resources?category=` with a hidden or unknown category now answers `404 not_found`.
- **News feed and report previews** show resource content only to members who can see it (core 1.9.7).
### Fixed
- Upgrading no longer drops resources from the sitemap and llms.txt; upgrading to 1.2.0 brings them back. On 1.9.6 the sitemap also lists addresses of resources in categories guests cannot view (the pages answer "not found"); 1.9.7 leaves them out.
- Transparent resource icons no longer turn into black squares (upload old icons again to fix them).
- Letter avatars in the hub pages use the intended sizes instead of 40px.
- The daily watch digest is scheduled once; since 1.1.3 it was listed twice under Scheduled Tasks on core 1.9.6 and newer (the second run sent nothing).
