# RaxBoard 1.9.5 (build 20260931)
2 new migrations (1185–1186) over 1.9.4. No schema breaks; the upgrade is an overlay plus `migrate:run`. Four fixes reported by board owners after 1.9.4.
## A core update can no longer leave your board closed
- **Fixed: after a core update the board could stay in maintenance mode.** The updater closes the board for the few seconds it takes to replace the files and reopens it at the end — but when the host cut the update request short (a server time limit, a PHP error, a dropped connection), the reopening step never ran. Visitors and search engines kept getting the maintenance page, and because administrators pass through maintenance, the owner saw nothing wrong. Now:
- the board is reopened even when the update request ends abnormally;
- if an update window is ever left open anyway, it closes itself after 30 minutes;
- a stale cached "maintenance on" can no longer keep the board closed after the setting says "off";
- search engines are asked to come back in 5 minutes during an update (instead of an hour).
- **Administrators now see when the board is in maintenance mode.** While it is on, every page an admin opens — on the board and in the admin panel — shows a strip at the bottom saying visitors and search engines see the maintenance page, with a link to switch it off.
- **If your board is still in maintenance mode after an earlier update**, this strip is how you will notice it: open Admin → Options and switch Maintenance mode off.
## Themes and mobile
- **Pamasra: the verified tick no longer appears twice.** The last-post line of each forum on the home page printed a verified member's blue tick two times. Theme packages installed later are corrected on import as well.
- **Article threads on phones: the author's user groups fold into a toggle**, as they already did in discussion and question threads. The first post of an article thread lists every group banner under the name, which could take several lines on a phone.
- **Poll creation fits phones.** In the poll settings the close-date field now sits under its label at full width, and every poll field can shrink to the screen — on iPhones the date field used to push the form past the edge of the screen.
