RaxBoard Core β Core
A new release is now available on the RaxBoard Marketplace.
Version: 1.7.0 (build 20260781)
Compatibility: RaxBoard >=1.0.0
What's new
RaxBoard 1.7.0
New: SMTP quick setup and connection testing in Admin β Options β E-mail.
Pick your mail provider from a list of common relays (Gmail, Outlook, Yandex, Brevo, SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, Amazon SES, Zoho and cPanel/Plesk) and the server, port and encryption fields are filled in for you. A new "Test connection" button performs a real handshake with your mail server without sending a message, and reports exactly which step failed. When a message is rejected you now see the mail server's own reason instead of a generic failure, and a permanently rejected address is no longer retried over and over. A new option lets you decide whether the board may fall back to the server's built-in mail function when SMTP is unavailable.
New: Post length can now be set to unlimited.
Set the maximum message length to 0 in Admin β Options β Content and posts are no longer capped. The admin hint next to the field explains this.
New: AI bulk campaigns can now be edited after they are created.
Change the topic list, forums, schedule and output language of an existing campaign from a new Edit screen, reachable from both the campaign list and the campaign detail page. Topics that have already been published are left alone. The campaign queue is also paginated, so every scheduled post is listed instead of only the first 200, and the total count is shown next to the list.
New: A permission now controls who may use personal style customization.
Group permissions gained a setting for per-member style tweaks, so you can limit or disable the feature for specific groups. Members without the permission are told so instead of silently getting nothing.
New: A "Purge all" button on the admin log screens.
Clearing a log no longer means paging through it β the whole log can be emptied in one action.
New: RaxBoard now ships in English only.
Additional languages are installed in one click as language packs from the marketplace, so the base product stays lean and language packs stay up to date independently of the board release.
Fix: Scrolling notices now display as a continuous marquee.
Notices set to the "Scrolling" type scroll smoothly and seamlessly across the full width of the notice bar, whether the message is short or long, and pause when hovered. The admin notice editor previews exactly what visitors will see.
Fix: The welcome message on the forum index now appears above the Latest Threads widget.
The guest welcome banner is rendered at the top of the forum index, before any widget placed in the "above content" area, on every style β including styles with customised templates.
Fix: The profile page now shows an "Unban User" button for members who are already banned.
Previously the button always read "Ban User", so a completed ban looked as though it had not worked, and clicking again silently lifted it. Bans and unbans also now take effect immediately for the member concerned, instead of after a short delay.
Fix: robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt are always generated live by the board.
They now emit your board's own absolute URLs with the correct https:// scheme behind Cloudflare or a reverse proxy, honour the "Enable sitemap" setting, and can no longer be shadowed by a stale file left on disk. The sitemap is written atomically, so a crawler can never fetch a half-written file, and its entries now use the correct forum, thread, tag, profile and help page addresses. The board address is validated when you save it, so a mistyped value can no longer poison every generated link.
Fix: Boards behind Cloudflare Flexible SSL or a TLS-terminating proxy no longer hit an endless redirect loop.
When "Force HTTPS" is enabled and an upstream proxy already terminates TLS, the board now recognises the secure connection instead of redirecting to itself forever.
Fix: Licence checks no longer report a single site as two separate installations.
Scheduled tasks running from the command line and normal web requests now produce the same server signature, so routine cron activity no longer looks like a second copy of your licence.
Fix: Add-on, theme, language-pack and core-update downloads now detect a failed download.
If the download server returns an error page instead of the package, the board refuses it and tells you, rather than saving the error page as the package and failing later with a confusing message. Redirected downloads are also followed and their real result code is honoured.
Fix: Advertising code that uses header-bidding providers is no longer blocked by the board's security policy.
The advertisement content-security allowlist now covers the common supply-side platforms used by header-bidding wrappers, so those ad slots fill on the live page as they do in the admin preview.
