# Kalium 1.0.0
First public release.
Kalium is a light-first community skin built around one crimson accent on white
cards. It ships a two-bar header, a count-column forum list, a classic left-rail
postbit and a cover-photo profile, and it is designed to stay on one row at every
width — the navigation moves overflow into a "More" menu instead of wrapping.
## Layout
- **Two-bar header** — brand, expanding search field and the member cluster on
the first bar; primary navigation and the style-tweaks tool on the second.
The navigation never wraps: items that do not fit move into a "More" dropdown,
re-measured on resize and after htmx swaps.
- **Home** — coloured info tiles, a page-title card, collapsible category blocks
(collapse state is remembered per category) and a board statistics strip.
- **Forum list** — avatar, title, threads/messages counts and last post in four
aligned columns on desktop; a stacked card on phones.
- **Thread** — header card with author, stats and rating, and a 248px identity
rail: large avatar with a presence dot, name, user title, banners, trophies,
three raised stat tiles (points, solutions, reputation), divider rows and a
soft profile button. Between 769 and 960px the rail becomes a full-width
identity strip; below 640px it collapses to a compact author head.
- **Profile** — cover photo, an identity row that overlaps the cover, the action
buttons inline (not pinned to the viewport) and a six-cell stat strip as the
card's foot, followed by a pill tab strip that scrolls sideways on phones.
- **Auth** — login and register pages and modals share one design: a crimson
brand pane with the board favicon and three feature lines beside the form,
with a sign-in / create-account switch. Below 720px the brand pane collapses
to a band.
- **Footer** — four columns (about, statistics, navigation, preferences) on one
surface, with a light/dark/system segment and style and language pickers.
## Theming
- 110 style properties: colours, surfaces, borders, radii, typography, header,
navigation, forum node, thread list, widget, footer, auth and postbit groups.
- Dark mode is attribute-driven and covers every surface the theme paints.
- The board favicon is used as the logo mark in the header, footer, auth pages,
auth modals and the guest welcome card, with the theme's own mark as fallback.
- Member style tweaks are fully supported: forum view (classic or discuss feed),
postbit layout (left, right, top or none), avatar shape, corner radius,
density, base font size, colour scheme and the primary colour — a member
primary colour also carries into soft fills, links, focus rings, the active
navigation item and primary buttons.
- Admin layout variants are supported for density, postbit, thread view and
header shape (flat, floating and sticky-shrink).
- Every RaxBoard advertisement position is styled and aligned to the content
column, including the postbit and sidebar slots.
## Accessibility and performance
- Tap targets on phones are at least 36px on every primary control.
- No inline `<style>` blocks and no inline event handlers: all CSS is served
from the theme stylesheet and all behaviour is delegated in `theme.js`.
- Clickable list rows expose their destination as `data-href` and ignore clicks
that land on a link, a control or a text selection.
