# Media Gallery 1.0.18
Two rounds in one update (1.0.17 and 1.0.18).
## Improved
- **The three sidebar widgets got a real design.** Latest Media, Random Media
and Gallery Statistics were styled only while the gallery's own stylesheet
happened to be on the page, so on the forum home and everywhere else they
rendered as bare text. They now carry their own stylesheet wherever they are
placed: thumbnails (including video-site thumbnails for embedded media), a
play badge on videos, a featured badge, captions, and a statistics block
that matches the rest of the sidebar. Their queries also surface embedded
media that the previous version silently skipped.
- **Public forms now look the same everywhere.** Text fields, the video-site
URL field, selects, textareas and the file picker on the upload, album and
edit forms — and the comment box — were partly unstyled on some themes
(borderless inputs, the browser's default "Choose file" button). They now
use one consistent field style with a proper focus ring and a file picker
button in the board's primary colour, in light and dark mode.
## Fixed
- **"Not found" pages were blank.** Opening a media item, album, comment or
watch link whose target no longer exists returned an empty 404 response; the
board's normal "Page not found" page is shown instead. The RSS feed returns a
short plain-text message rather than an empty body.
- **Deleting media left dead notifications behind.** Deleting a media item
through the gallery removed the item but kept the notifications that pointed
at it, so clicking one led to a 404. Those notifications are now removed with
the item.
## Notes
- No database changes. Assets are republished automatically on upgrade.
