Latest Threads — Add-on
A new release is now available on the RaxBoard Marketplace.

What's new
# Latest Threads 1.3.23
Requires RaxBoard core 1.9.1. Upgrade in place; no data changes.
## Added
- **Read and unread threads look different (signed-in members).** A thread you
have read is listed in a normal weight; a thread with news for you stays
bold. A thread counts as unread when its newest post is newer than the last
time you opened it or marked the forum as read, it is less than 30 days old
and the newest post is not yours. Guests see the plain look, as before.
Boards on RaxBoard 1.9.3 or older do not record which threads a member has
opened, so there the difference shows for threads you answered last, threads
older than 30 days and forums you marked as read; the next core update
records every thread you open.
- **Recent Replies names the person who replied last.** The row used to show the
thread starter and the date the thread was created, so it looked as if the
starter had written the newest message. Recent Replies, and Latest when it is
sorted by last activity, now show the last replier's name and avatar; on
narrow screens, where the "Last reply" column is folded away, that is the
person shown. Tabs that list threads for their own sake (Trending, Most
viewed, and so on) keep showing the starter.
## Changed
- **Rows open the reply, not the start of the thread.** In Recent Replies,
Latest (when sorted by last activity) and the forum / category tabs, a row is
listed because of its newest reply, so clicking it now opens that reply on the
right page of the thread instead of the first post. Latest Posts rows open
their own post on the right page too; before, a post beyond the first page
opened page 1.
- Threads without replies, pinned rows and the thread-centric tabs (Trending,
Most viewed, Unanswered, Most liked, …) still open the start of the thread.
- If a thread's newest reply was removed (for example by a spam cleanup), the
row opens the start of the thread instead of a missing post.
