Kalium — Theme
A new release is now available on the RaxBoard Marketplace.
Version: 1.0.12 (build 10012)
Compatibility: RaxBoard >=1.9.7
What's new
Kalium 1.0.12
Requires RaxBoard core 1.9.7 or newer. Update the core first, then this theme.
Colours and settings you changed are kept on update. Updating replaces this
theme's own templates (for example its header); Custom CSS, style settings and
logos are kept. If you edited this theme's own templates, back them up before
updating.
Changed
- Readable colours (WCAG AA): buttons, current-page and tab markers, badges,
links, faint text and focus rings now meet AA contrast in light and dark
mode, keeping Kalium's hue (the primary red is one shade deeper, #CE282D,
was #E23E3E). Buttons no longer turn lighter on hover.
- Fixed: the "Skip to content" link was invisible when focused; an active
filter chip lost its label colour on hover.
- Theme options: Kalium now declares which layout options it supports (density
and others), so the Customizer and member style tweaks offer only the ones
that work in it, and those settings take effect.
- Permissions respected: Kalium's own header, user menu, mobile menu, welcome
banner and "not found" page now hide search, bookmarks, the member list and
moderation links from members who are not allowed to use them.
- Registration: Kalium's own sign-up form and sign-in windows include the
phone (SMS / WhatsApp) verification fields when that option is switched on.
- Settings: one "Sidebar width" setting replaces two, and a sticky header can
be switched on per style.
- Customizer settings now apply to the parts they name (breadcrumbs,
navigation, thread lists, widgets, forum rows, category headers, sign-in
card, profile banner), and "Show dark-mode toggle" is respected. The board
looks the same until you change a setting.
- Element styles keep working: Kalium's own templates carry the invisible
element hooks the Customizer uses, so styles saved in Elements mode apply
here too. Nothing changes visually.
- Forum list: a forum that is not inside a category now uses the same card,
padding and title size as the other forums; on phones its text no longer
touches the screen edge.
Also in this release (comes with core 1.9.7)
- Member blocking: the threads and posts of a member you blocked are hidden
from you, and that member can no longer message you, reply to or quote you,
mention you, react to your content, follow you, post on your profile wall or
view your profile. Staff cannot be blocked.
- Profile: searchable Threads and Posts tabs with filters, sorting and pages.
- Phones: the resource list seen by moderators and the post cards on member
profiles now run edge to edge like every other card.
- Discuss layout: the Categories and sort dropdowns are no longer cut off on
short lists.
- Editor: Bold no longer switches itself on.
- Posts: a message that ends with a multi-language ([lang]) block no longer
shows extra space under its text.
- Profiles: an & in a member's "About" text no longer shows as &.
